Saw something that said a Duracell ultra is 550ma.

If you get a chance, would like to see how it's all connected when hooked up to the laptop unless it's just a standard usb.
Any particular order/procedure for proper powering/hookup/software setup (as in something you should avoid doing maybe)?
Lovin the graphing!

Sounds great! Does it start datalogging as soon as it gets a certain level of signal?
Just trying to make sure there's not some certain way you should be handling plug/unplug/power switching. Remembering how it came out that you really needed to switch both lines to the Ophir together. Don't know if there's any potential risks anywhere that we should be made aware of. I don't think there is.
Can you start the software before plugging in the USB?
Have more time on my hands today as I had to take my wife for another medical test this morning where she swallowed a pill camera. Have to go back by 3PM so they can make sure the pill is going to pass thru all the way or they have to operate to get it out. Looks like that is <2% chance though.
I did find a clear box I could potentially use depending upon options. Have had a Jawbone blutooth brand new in its case for over a year. Had it sitting on top of a high shelf so I never noticed it. It's about 7" x 3" x 2". It's thinner than the Radio Shack boxes so I would have to be really careful. We'll see. Not making any decisions until I get mine.
This is simply astounding how quick the meter sampled the Ophir head!!
I can't wait to get mine. +1
Trevor has implemented a threshold in Pergerine, so you can set it to log when it reaches a certain power.
Starting to software before plugging it into USB is fine, you just have to refresh the COM port list.
I think I've found a way to implement automatic refreshing, so that I can do away with the Refresh button altogether. It does, however, have a fairly high CPU cost. I'll tinker with the time interval at which it executes.
If worse comes to worst, we just keep the refresh button.
Trevor
The software is great! I've got a couple suggestions I'd like to run past you. I pm them to you when I get a chance.
I am wondering if there isn't a way of offloading much of the CPU cost to the GPU instead? I know that the graphing uses a huge chunk of the CPU resources already. No way of going OpenGL or OpenCL? :can:
