Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Hi.

I would make 3A driver for Cree XM-L LED with PWM control.

I have yet to get the TPS63020 to go above 500mA at 4V ... I think XM-L T6 need more than 4V just as 445nm diodes. Plus these IC are f*ing expensive ... not worth it when we have a very nice 2.8A driver available for $12USD: http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=1866

Yes, but that is a step-down (buck) only, not a boost driver.

Cree XM-L need 2,9-3,3V so it´s OK.

Driver on KD is nice, but it´s for 2 li-ion :/

It might ... But just be aware that their circuit may not have GND and LD- as a continous path, you will not be able to tie the case pin with LD- or use it with red diodes.
