Jay has shown us the comparison between 150, 171 and 384 mW in the "BR & Violet lasers - New High Power Blu-ray Sled! - SF-AW210 Graph!", reply #54. It would be exceptional to have a similar comparison by adding also the beam of this 512mW monster! :D

I told Dave to send it to me...

He told me to wait by my mail box! ;D

Nice beamshots jayrob!
The violet is so bright, it almost look like red  :)

The fact that the "8X"-beam is pointing nearer to the camera lens,
is a bias in the comparison.
I would like to see a picture of equally treated beams :)
EDIT: Its dead.

Good job!

Holy sweet mother theressa thats awesome :O

I tihnk I might just have turned gay for Violet lasers >_>

4 Days 4 without a beamshot! :( My heart cannot resist to such emotional strain, I have to increase the voltage of my pacemaker (joke, of course).....

Or maybe Dave has been put under info restrictions due to a military interest for his experiment? :-X

uh dude... look at the 4th post down from the top of this page.. theres a beam shot... ur computer might not have loaded it right

bugattidude:

the picture you refer is NOT relevant to the BDR-203, but is a JayRob really nice shot of another diode comparison (SF-AW210) pushed (and that did not survive :'() to 384mW thanks also to the new lens 405-G-1.....

See: BR & Violet Lasers - New High Power Blu-ray Sled!

Yeah I think we'll see one HELL of a difference between 380mw+ and 500mw+ of bluray.  I'D BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TAKE A PIC SEND IT TO MEEEE!

;D ;D ;D ;) :D :D

OK.  Y'all asked for it.  You KNOW how bad my beam shots are, but here are a few
(Two sticks of incense burned in the garage ~15 minutes before the shots.)

From bottom to top: 210mW, 110mW, 10mW, 510mW  (you can just barely make out the 10mW beam between 110mW and 510mW)
half1.jpg

From your left to right: 10mW (PS3), 110mW (PHR), 210mW (6X), 510mW (8X)
half2.jpg

Same as above

Peace,
dave
