 I can picture you fighting the urge to buy it. But, the urge was too great.

At that price, it was worth trying a low bid. I really am more interested in pulse YAG's, but this thing is probably high power CW, I kept looking at that Ukraine YAG, but not for 600 dollars! So this was one route of getting some power, if I can afford the flash lamps, if not, back on ebay it goes.

Edit: here's an even larger one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USED-YAG-La...50MM-with-laser-xenon-flash-lamp/322658335433

As little as I am paying for the one I won the bid on tonight, I half expect the seller not to send it and refund :p

 ...I don't see nothing wrong, with a little sudden buy! :p

A nice bit of R Kelly there Diachi. Let's call it Bump n' Buy! :D

A high power CW sounds brilliant to me Alaskan.

I have q switches :) but rods for short ns pulses and for cw are doped differently, but you all know that.

These mirrors are not made for much of the visible spectrum, but you guys might like this for something. Good reflectivity for red and NIR-IR wavelengths.

Lot of 10, Texas Instruments Laser Beam Steering MEMS Mirror - Unused | eBay

Trying to find the original price for these was difficult, but I did find this thread: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/looking-for-2d-mems-tilt-mirror-devices - Appears they were terribly expensive to buy new. 0.65 to 10 micron wavelength, 700 mw. Maybe can be used in shorter vis anyway, if the loss isn't too bad there?

Datasheet: https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data Sheets/Texas Instruments PDFs/TALP1000B.pdf

Edit: Here's a very nice article about this device: https://photos.imageevent.com/qdf_f...docs/misclaserequipmentinfo/826515149-MIT.pdf

Everything I could find on these are saved as the last five documents on this page: http://imageevent.com/qdf_files/tec...ications/misclaserdocs/misclaserequipmentinfo

Off subject !

I'm sure a lot of you guys have herd of Manker EDC's
So for anyone willing to spend $200 on a sic! Awesome housing for a any wavelength laser Mod of decent power depending on driver option, these are sure to impress, they look so nicely built I would love to mod a few with these awesome single mode wavelength diodes we've been lucky enough to access recently,

I'll pop the link here for anyone interested!

Nice flashlights BBB!

I found these small 808 nm 300 mw rated laser diodes on ebay, does anyone know if it is very likely these are single mode? I've asked these sellers before and they never know the part number or anything more than perhaps drive voltage, current and power out.

DIY Lab 300mW 808nm 2.2V High Power Burning Infrared Laser Diode Module TO-18 | eBay

I am looking for a lot of 25 single mode IR diodes near 800 nm, not for dpss.

Unless you can read Russian, Chris, I doubt you are going to get anything out of that listing. I don't get it either.

Here's a datasheet for the second one: file:///C:/Users/agordon/AppData/Local/Temp/Qioptiq_iFLEX2000_datasheet_Aug2011.pdf

Did an IT professional just try hyperlinking to his C drive? For shame :p

Dammit, yes, yes I did. I thought I caught that and fixed it but apparently not... Maybe that was another time? That's what I get for goofing off at work/not having my morning coffee...

Guess I'll need to give the users at work a break for a while after that one...

Correct link for anyone still needing it: www.qioptiq.com/download/Qioptiq_iFLEX2000_datasheet_Aug2011.pdf

Does anyone know how to power one of these?

LSI Laser Science Inc. Model VSL-337i Nitrogen Laser System | eBay

I'm currently enquiring on it's functionality.
I desperately want a working Nitrogen laser, for not too much money.

Without seeing the connectors on the back I'm guessing that the PSU isn't built in and that it needs a HV PSU, possibly pulsed, unless the pulse forming is done inside the head.

The plasma cartridges in these are usually low hours parts that are replaceable, so whether it works or not is questionable.

SpectraPhysics make a similar laser (same plasma cartridge perhaps), model number is very similar. Self contained too, just need AC power and perhaps some control input.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...cs+337.TRS0&_nkw=Spectra+Physics+337&_sacat=0

Those come up for cheap from time to time.

I think this is the manual for the one you linked: http://web.mit.edu/8.13/8.13d/manua...science-inc-vsl-337-pulsed-nitrogen-laser.pdf

Look at that, I didn't link to a PDF on my local disk this time! :D
