PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

For over $2500.00 there wouldn't be many, if any, who would be interested in this purchase. Also, no guarantee that the unit even works.

Its also not a 25W unit. In multi-line operation it's 10W, assuming everything is clean/aligned and the tube is in good health. Seller is going by the warning label power once again.

The 2080-25S is the 25W model in this series, they probably use the same warning label on the whole series whether it's the 2060-4S (4W) or the 2080-25S.

1.7mm beam at 0.45mRad with 10W, that'd be impressive...

Let's not forget that it also likely requires 3-phase power.

Needs 208V 3 Phase at up to 60A and at least 3 Gal/min of water to keep it cool. Plus a couple folk to help you move it, seeing as it weighs in at 320lbs with the PSU.

I've made several purchases from this seller over the last year, he lists stuff and if no one buys it, the price keeps dropping until someone will.

Was interested in these earlier but seller indicated flat mirrors and didn't know anything about them beyond that. Anyone here know?

Can anyone tell me where the YAG is likely located inside this unit? I believe it is inside the dark painted piece on top, anyone know?

My local surplus shop has what looks to be an industrial or medical laser of some type. What kind of laser pumps out 2100 nm photons? Labeling on the thing says it has a 3mW 640 aiming diode and the main laser is 2100 nm, max pulse energy 1250, mJ and a maximum output of 10W at max pulse rate. $150, labeled as a parts laser but these guys know very little about lasers. I'm tempted......

probably Alexandrite or CTH YAG or something similar. there's a number of things that output around 2um-2.1um. Most of them surgical. not really a practical 'for fun' laser, but if you could make a circuit for it and put it on a rail or something you could use it as a fun 'little' marking laser.

Thanks for the input U.K. Hmmm now I'm really curious. I buy quite a bit o' stuff from this shop. I bet They'd let me have it for a C-note. It looks like it's been sitting in a warehouse for a decade or so but it appears to be complete except for the lack of a fiber output cable.

If you can I'd jump on that, WizardG. Most of us don't live near or have access to deals like that. Even if you don't get it running, it will surely have all sorts of things you will be able to use. But, my bet is you'll be able to get it running.
