I agree. It's a pity, isn't it?

And if they ship it, the cost is usually more than the PSU itself. Huh...

Even when it's just north of their border shipping still costs A LOT.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I don't know if any of you use these or not, I find them to be a huge improvement in my attempts to be organized. This is the best price I have seen in them so far...

20pcs SMT SMD Kit Laboratory Components Storage box Z | eBay

I love mine. They are kind of cheap and the doors catch sometimes, but the GOOD ones are really expensive and these work pretty well.

I have a template to print out labels for them if anyone needs them.

UPDATE: I just got these in today and they shipped pretty fast! Look to be pretty much the standard versions of these that I always get - which is to say average quality, not superb but serviceable.

I went ahead and ordered some more.

ALSO: I found another cheap (but not as cheap as the first) option and it is cheaper to order 2 x 25 than 1 x 50...

25 pc x SMT SMD Kit Components storage boxes 25 x 31.5 x 21.6mm G/Y/B/P/W | eBay

They partially combined shipping and the total was a couple of dollars cheaper than if I had ordered a single order of 50 - go figure.

I believe this is the cheapest option by far, but you don't get the various colors (which I would prefer)

2x Green Diy Resistor IC Opamp Smd Screws Lid Components Storage Box Tool 10 Pcs | eBay

I'm pretty sure you get two sets of 10. If you are doubtful, you could pay slightly more and get all 10pks from the same seller:

10 Pcs Plastic Lid Components Parts Storage Box For Resistor Ic Opamp Smd Screws | eBay

The first one is very confusing - it says:

What's Included In The Package:
1 x 10 pcs Laboratory Storage Box Enclosure For Components

I see the 2x but nowhere else do I see any indication in the pictures or description that it is anything but 10 pieces.

You may be right though, since the other one is $2.76 for a set of 10.

So that is 27.6 cents each vs 30 cents each for my find. Good price!

Here is another source for SMD component storage. I had been looking on DX for a while but using the wrong search terms.

Cubic Configurable Storage Toolboxes (10 pack) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX

If you order 100, they are 22 cents each. These LOOK cheaper than the ebay versions though - can't tell for sure.

They also have some of the larger sizes.

Configurable Storage Toolboxes (3 pack) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX

Nice find, though I feel like DX may take longer than a random ebay seller. Also, DX charges for bulkrate pricing XP, that is why I like focalprice better.

Yeah, they want $1.70 for bulk rate. Which is ok if you are getting 10 sets (100 pieces) but starts to add to the unit cost at lesser orders.

I haven't checked FP.

Ugh, I got one of those vises a long time ago and they suck for pressing diodes (I bought it for that exact purpose). It's a dinky vise with little space between the jaws--30mm max, about 2mm more than the length of a full Aixiz module set.

I can't verify whether it would break while pressing a diode because I wasn't able to fit my own diode-press between the jaws. Unless FP's press is a bit shorter (and it could be) it won't work. Maybe he can verify the length.

I wouldn't buy the cheap vice. Look what happens to mine when I pressed the diode.

Now I have a decent vice like this,
