PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Btw, other stuff of this guy's ebay is very cool, including many DPSS things

EDIT: THIS

A lot of his stuff are pulls from BW 473nm units, but he does have a lot of cool things! I just bought one of those 561nm KTP crystals from him, and it is pretty big! Once I get more time I'll start shopping for some HR/OC mirrors.

But where are you going to get the 1123nm laser? Trust me, I've looked for exotic WL OCs and HRs (specifically 561/1123), and they're practically non-existent.

I wish you good luck in finding them!

Good luck with that, I think UK still hasn't found any, he bought a crytal set a while back.

What? They are 808nm pumped.
Edit: the lasing medium is, but that's not in the listing, hence your comment I suppose.

Yeah, the listing is just for the KTP. I know 1123 is an emission line of Nd:YAG, but good luck finding mirrors or one coated for it. You might try CASIX, They sell new 1064/532 hybrid crystals for as low as ~$50 but it's still probably going to cost you an arm and a leg for one coated for 1123/561.

I have an OC, but it may be a bit short for my purposes. I'll probably need to buy a set of mirrors, which would be crazy expensive.

Where the heck did you get that? What is it coated for?

Also, (so this thread doesn't get derailed) fairly good deal on a DNA sequencer for anyone who lives in PA:
ABI Prism 7700 DNA Sequencer
I think these contain ML argons, but I'm not entirely sure.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I've been looking for one of those! I might snag that hene.
I want to say the 1145Ps did about 35mW but the power supply was harder to find.

the 1135 is a 10mW tube, running on 3.1kV. the superior 1145 is a 21mW tube running on 3.8-4kV :) I have a 1145P and a LHP-845 which is the Melles griot equivilant to the 1145, and they are beautiful tubes. I actually had a bare tube one a while back and it is a gorgeous piece of glassware.

Id love to de can this. I think there might be a thread on the process somewhere. The label on the tube states "20mW" do the tubes actually have an out out of 10mW ?

I have been Looking for a 543nm but the price of those seem to be steep.

Well, the greens are bigger and harder to make... But you can usually find them $100-300 depending on make. Merideth sells them around 200. I have a smaller one for sale for 100. Anything other than red usually will be fairly pricy. As or opening heads, it's better to leave them in the cylinder. They work better that way, are safer, and less likely to break.

My 1135P does at least 10mw. When it gets warmed up it's about twice as bright as my 7.3mw one, which is the only laser I have that I know the exact output of.
They're a lot of power for their size.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Yes it should be >10mW. Likely 12-15 when new since they're a relatively wide bore 19" tube. I prefer melles griot tubes over uniphase personally. That's not a terrible deal if it's working at all.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I put an offer in for $75. We'll see if it's a go

Good deal. Just not many people with a grand to blow. Maybe a GB option? I can give them some love before shipping them to the owners if someone wants to split the cost.
