I got that hene btw for 75 bucks. Got plans for it, thanks Alaskan for posting it here.

I would be in on the GB but would it be easy to source a power supply for a good price?

Maybe, but I typically see them at least 100 bucks because they are higher voltage and the range is often able to run most other mid to large tubes. I have a couple I might part with though. But buying these at 250 or so each isn't bad at all. Can always scrounge a PSU later

If we could get 4 ppl and split it up I'd be able to swing $250ish. The multi-lines have me curious. I would even volunteer to receive one of the used tubes instead of NOS to avoid issues

I'd be up for it if I can get the money. I too would be interested in a ML, seeing as I already have a 594, but I'm fine with anything. :)

I'd be fine with either type.

One thing is curtain, $855 isn't enough for the "make an offer" :D

If someone did want to pull the trigger on it, I'm positive there would be enough people willing to buy the "extras". I would do it myself, but I don't know if I have the time or know-how.

keep in mind those are multimode tubes btw. and many look like the output is a bit low. they may be EOL tubes or have alignment issues. i'll see if i can talk him down

I'm excited about this :) if these tubes are ML what might their WL be? 589 and 594.1?
Is it possible with some alignment the output might bump up to 4mW? I'm looking for a spec sheet now.

Probably 594.1nm and 604/612. 589nm is pretty much reserved for SFG DPSS and Raman shifted lasers. The mirrors on HeNes aren't really adjustable unless you get one of those ball-and-socket 2-b tubes people build, which is a one in 5 million chance. You probably couldn't even get it out of the shell without breaking it :undecided:. Though if you apply pressure to the sides of the mirrors you can change them slightly, but I wouldn't recommend it if the tube is still working.

Oh no I meant 265 sorry lol. I typed that lightning fast on my way home on my phone lol. He can't come down much since they're already so cheap, but they should all have a lot of life left. I'll give them all the red carpet treatment before shipping them out if we do this.

Edit: I sent him an offer. frankly i could even just buy these outright an resell them. even 300 is a darn good yellow price...but that wouldnt be very nice of me. :tinfoil:

sorry for the DP but i wanted to make sure subscribers got an update.

The tubes are ours! so those who want one let me know ASAP. only one is claimed as of now. I'm moving everything to a GB thread.
