New Linear driver! ST-DRIVE

Still no word, no PM's....Payed 1 month ago.....I think this could have been handled in a different way. I was very much under the impression that he had these in stock and ready to ship when I payed....He did not say anything about not being able to ship when he received my money.

Well, I know this isn't a huge consolation - but if Kiy is MIA, I've got an STCS1 board that works, and I'll release it free to the thread.

I wouldn't have otherwise. I had looked at the STCS1 a while back, but ditched the notion of actually releasing a driver when I saw that he had come out with this. But, if somethings up here, I'll just post the gerbers/eagle files from mine.

I still have some faith that Kiy will come through, and I wouldn't want to spoil his work and time on these drivers.

That said, open source is a great development resource for the whole community! Perhaps, if you wish, posting it in a new thread would be more advantageous than here.

We'll see what comes on the 5th of December and perhaps his return from vacation. My needs are not as pressing as others, I would have liked to know the situation though.

he said he shipped mine out on the 10th and still havent received them. i wish he could've updated us

Quite frankly I did PM him once here on LPF...this could have been missed, but he should post here to show support or explanation for the situation with these drivers.

Perhaps he feels that he has already explained the situation, but obviously there are quite a few people who don't feel the same way.

I hate being this way but there is NO MISSING his own thread.

I feel I have given him the benefit of the doubt for a month now, mostly because I don't want to make a big deal over a $20 purchase.

That said, he has not posted on LPF since 13th of last month. He post's on PL but does not respond to those here that sent him money in faith of his very good reputation here on LPF.(again, why I don't like pushing this subject)

I have opened a dispute(not a claim) with PP to see if this can get his attention. I have already eaten $50+ this year from a somewhat 'trusted member' running off with every ones money(I don't think this is the situation here)...but I can not continue to leave my money out in the nether until a seller 'gets around' to shipping.

Edit:.....Well...S!$%....I closed the dispute, I just can't do it over $20. I guess i'll just write this one off too....No more post's here from me unless he post's to explain the situation.

Marrying them aside :tired:
I think these will eventually arrive,
posts #67 & #71 explain the situation best.
I expect an additional wait now with Christmas is on the horizon.

532: I'm in for like $67 :(

I have actually PM'd him at PL, and no response there either. Plus, he actually logged in there today, so I feel he would have seen my message.

I've also emailed him directly - and I did that a while back.

I also can't stand the notion of filing a dispute. I like Kiyoukan, and I struggle to imagine that anything is wrong here. I *REALLY* wish Paypal had an option, while you're still within your 45 day period, to say "I don't want to file a dispute yet, but I'd like to extend my window for another 15 days to decide".

That said, I'm getting close to the 45 day window on mine, and for $67, I may need to file it. If nothing else, just to get it slipped in before the deadline. $67 is $67.

It's not right to leave people hanging, and people shouldn't have to feel bad for filing a dispute.

Yeah, he's a cool guy. Business is business though, and not fulfilling orders without answering your customer's concerns is a no-no, especially after you have been sitting on their money for a while. And it's more than one person that is having a problem, it's not just an isolated incident. :(

Well, I opened the dispute. It's just a dispute, and it gets it in there before the time period elapses. Plus, it gives us a communication avenue that we know will work. So hopefully this is a useful route to just establishing some dialog if nothing else.

Gosh though, I feel like a million pounds of crap, because in the process of trying to dispute a $45 to Kiyoukan, I accidentally opened up a $45 dispute of a prior payment to Lazeerer, Eeeeek!

Those 9 minutes that Paypal made me wait before being able to close the dispute against Lazeerer were just about the most stressful ever. I think I PM, emailed, and posted an apology message in Paypal faster than I've ever written anything online before ;)
