My 445nm Build with the 18650 Aurora SS R2 Cree From Jayrob!!! "Picture Heavy"

This is My 445nm Build That i got from Jayrob Basic Kit. You can Can check out the kit Here http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-stainless-steel-18650-kit-polished-perfect-445-a-52159.html This Host is so SWEET!!!:drool: Its called The Aurora SS Cree R2 18650. I Choose to get a aluminum heatsink witch works really good at the current i have it at right now, Witch is set at 520ma using a flex v5 until i get my other driver in witch will get boosted to 1050ma.:wave: I will upgrade to a copper heatsink once i get the new driver in. The reason why iam not using this v5 permanent its because its apart of my other build. "12x Build" I could not wait to see the blue so i took apart my 12x to use the driver. So once the new one come in i will put everything back together.

This Host is extremely shine i love it you can see your reflexion in it. It has a blue reverse clicky at the tail end and glow in the dark washers. "Nice touch Jayrob" I am Using a XJ-A130 diode With the Flex v5 set at 520ma. The heat sink performs very well gets slightly warm to the touch if that with 1 min on 30 sec off. I am Using my 405-G-1 Lens also from Jayrob right now because i order an Aixiz 405 Lens and there has been some issues with the coating. It has a blue tint to the glass and i was told to not use it until we find out what is going on from Aixiz.Iam sorry i dont have a Laser meter yet but i will soon.

Overall I am VERY HAPPY with this build from Jayrob.:thanks:

Nicely done. You might think about getting an E-Z-FOCUS Adapter so you don't fry your finger tips while focusing that MONSTER.....

i get the exact same for my 445nm and should do 900-850mW of 445nm..
same lense too.

Maybe heavy pics but it only takes 1-1.5 secs to load them all

Nice host, always liked the polish metal ones. Are these generally more expensive to get chrome plated lasers? Maybe thats half the reason why my 5mw pen from amazon was $90 10 years ago...It's scratched and under it, its copper

hehe.. Glad the loaded fast..

These host are Stainless steel and are polished and iam sure Jayrob highly polished it before sending it out because its shiny. It probably doesn't come this polished from the factory

They are SS all the way through. Its not Chrome Plated or something like that.

Edit: It comes straight from the factory/manufacture polished...

The host comes polished! I did not do any polishing...

One of the sweetest hosts I've seen. Just like my polished SS CR2 kit but bigger.

Most of them are polished with a blue tail cap just like yours. But I can't guarantee that the tail cap will always be blue. Because the DX order page shows a GITD tail cap.

Also, some are not quite as polished as others. But they all have a very very nice finish. I love stainless steel...

I dint Frie my diode it was just a cool smoke effect that i blew around it.

I am Using an 18650 battery.

I have to say I completely love everything about your pictures!
Blue beams with a sharp violet edge to them & violet splash, great against you counter top.
Really love that haze clinging & wisping off the host!
That would be dry ice yes? Did you do any editing / processing or are they just straight up?

It seems you using a Kodak Zi8 video camera. How about a video!

Man, that sure is a nice looking host, im kinda regretting not getting the SS instead of the basic one. Perhaps I may look into getting one, but then I would end up with 3 445nm builds, and it'd be hard to top the power of my basic kit and still have a usable duty cycle.
I like the smoke effect in the last pic.

Also, you may want to upgrade to the copper heatsink if you plan to take it up to 1A, it gets hot very quickly.
