Movies with actual lasers in them

8W and goggles ?

Argon Ion Laser (8 watts), laser projector and 40 2x2 inch mirrors are used to produce a laser beam alarm. Cris crossing blue/green laser beams reflect and pulse around in the room while the alarm is activated. (Behind the scene, an optical table with accuating mirrors reflect the laser through 50/50 beam splitters and mirrors . The laser light is reflected and directed to the externaly installed mirrors, that direct the final beam destination.)

Yes sir, i'm affraid so.

Another movie:

The Manhattan Project 1986

And here's a plot from macgyver.
Same idea ^^

Manhattan Project. Young genious boy makes a nuke with "hot" fissionable materiel.

He manipulates a laser to cut a small doorway for a remote controlled truck. Descently cool and smartly made movie.

Ditto on Manhattan project.

Aliens had real argon laser .. it's said it was one of the more expensive effects in the movie ..

As I recall it was 'out of budget', but Cameron wanted it so bad he ended up funding it from his own paycheck.

I wonder if X-laser calls CGI lasers illegal if they don't have a CGI variance :D

not just as special effects such as a tunnel light like Outland

I re-watched the bar scene, and those sure look like laser scanners. If they are indeed cone lights I'd like some info or links on how that was done because it looks great.

I found some old ones, 1st one was before I was alive :p

Goldfinger 1964

(jump to 1:11 for it)

Inframan 1975 (fake lasers, but lasers)

(jump to 35sec & 47sec for lasers)

Didn't Captain Picard (Star Trek) have a little red laser on his
head after assimilation by the Borg?
HMike

What about in the new movie "Oblivion"? Tom Cruise gets scanned by lasers in the trailer, the look to be 473nm...

Resident Evil. The laser room. Totally fake of course but nice effects :D

I think man cut by laser would look more like man cut with cutting torch. Laser cuts by burning. Even if the beam was very thin, there would be TONS of smoke and steam .. and bad smell.

There is a beautiful infrared laser display in ZERO DARK THIRTY during a night vision scene.

Laserglow provided lasers for TRON: Legacy (all the blue line-generators, used in the bar scene and on the balcony at Flynn's home) and Iron Man 2 (seen only briefly when Tony Stark redirects the energy-beam-thing to charge his new arc reactor.)

I have production stills proving this but I'm not allowed to show anyone or Stan Lee will send the Hulk to crush me. That's what it said in the contract.
