Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

I did. I'm out of groove drivers as well.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

I would like to buy some drivers if you still have any. I bought a 4171 host. Thank you

Rick

Announcing the arrival of the V4!

V4.jpg

Specs:
75-400mA buck/boost 5V out
75-800mA buck/boost 3V out
75mA-1.5A buck 1.8V out

-positive, current regulated design
-fits inside aixiz case (12x9mm)
-85-95% efficient (93% for most uses)
-2.0-5.5V input
-totally awesome
-1.8-5.5V output
-4 solder-jumper selectable current output ranges

thanks for waiting guys I've got a lot to ship so hang with me :)

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Oshi-! They're finally here! Now for the hard question: What's the price going to be?

What does all that mean?

The price is $23 now, the use of double sided construction and tinier components and more of them caused that.  There had been a lot of requests to fit this IN an aixiz module so now what you see here is the smallest, most powerful and versatile driver available.  It uses cell phone size tech inside.

Spyder, those are intended to be range capability guidelines given the input voltages 2-5.5V.  I chose 5,3,and 1.8 as example output voltages because they are typical diode voltages.  It's still a constant current driver.

Order sent.

Get 'em while they're hot!

Peace,

oh my --
i can now directly drive a pumpdiode with it?!? awesome! :-)
its *so* tiny!

again, pure awesomeness!

So you could still set the current and use it as you would a normal flexdrive?

Which diodes use 1.8 volts?

the infrared-pumpdiodes of greenies.. means, you rip out the original driver, have only the relatively short metaltube, and use the new flexdrive. perhaps these IR diodes are not 1.8v but a bit above, but the new driver fits definitely! before, older flexdrive-layout, you would have needed to put a regular diode in between the driver and the greenie, so the "too low" voltage of the laser is heightened. which meant 1/4 to 1/3 more energyconsumption, transformed into heat right in your host..

sure, the flexdrive was the hottest thing available before already, but now, damn, its da secks in electronics! :-)
