Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Interesting. I would also find that annoying, though, if I wasn't trying to stricly limit the power output of my diode.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Well, I'm not an authority on this, but I think you can still use a pot to set the equilibrium where you want it. And if what you want is to keep the output current steady then it isn't bad because it would vary the current to keep the output the same. In this case it would be the input current that you would not be able to strictly limit.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

However, I think it is debatable exactly how reliable they are, especially at really high output powers.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Speaking of FlexDrives, does anyone have a couple of them and $200 that means less to them than an iPhone? :D

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

can this fit into an Aixiz Laser Module Housing untrimmed?

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Dr. Lava,

I have 2 FlexDrives that arent pushing anything. I have tested them multiple times and with two different multimeters using a 1 ohm resistor. Is there anyway I can send them in for repair?

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

paul,

just to be sure (because this happened to me once): are you sure you have the in- and output correctly? chances are low that both of them are actually faulty!
good news: even after having mine hooked up "in reverse" and with unconnected output too, it still works fine! tough little drives..

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Hi, I put a preorder on this some time ago, and now I got worried if this driver will work for me.
So just to make sure, will this driver and a 3,7V Li-ion cell run a phr diode?

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Perfect combination!

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

drlava, when will you have the Groove Driver in stock again?

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Is there anything new on the lava driver V4. Like is there any new features.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Quote from drlava:

"the V4 will have 4 ranges and is a complete redesign"

Other than that I have no idea.

Thanks ;)

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits
