It is Here.!!!!! 300mW "635nm" Mitsubishi.....

Awesome man... :gj:

Can you please just summarize for that power: (with so many changes in your testing, it's just best to give all three factors)

* Output power
* Current
* Lens used

:thanks:

Sure.:)

Output Power: 351mW Peak after 1 minute 348mW +/- 3mW
Currant: 453mA
Lens: AR Coated Acrylic Lens "For Red"

Divergence:

FA@ 4.65mRad "We Need to correct this"
SA@ -.05mRad

^Those are the closet i can get with a Digital caliper and my eyes and Goggles on. Some might get Slightly different Numbers.:)

PS: Got the Host in. Thank you for the extras.:D

I have been asked to confirm the pinout a few times so I will just post a quick reference picture. Yes it is the same as the 445.;)

Thanks for verifying that DTR... :beer:

Your welcome! :beer:

Just so you know, you can have about 390mW's by putting a 650-G-1 glass lens in that bad boy... :D

Also, if you want to try an AixiZ 3 element glass lens coated for red, I'm sure it will help a little with the dot and beam. I have them for $5 bucks in case you don't have one. It would be approximately 5% or 6% less output power vs your AR coated acrylic...

NP Jay.:)

Ive tested with an Aixiz Glass too. I dont Like it. It does help with the dot but the Divergence is only a slight improvement.

Yes The 650-G1 has always been on my buy list. I just haven't bought one yet.:o

I just ordered two of these 638's from Rayfoss's eBay listing by accident:
Mitsubishi 635-638nm 300mw CW Laser Diode DIY/1pcs/pck | eBay

* I assume this is the same as ordering directly from the RayFoss link originally posted - right?

I plan on replacing the two 655nm red diodes I have installed in my RRGB projector. Main reason is that I just (yesterday) ordered a 1.5 Watt analog DPSS green 532nm from Meierlight.net for $818 with shipping. I can't WAIT to get that bad boy installed!

I plan to limit the power of the new green laser in my Pangolin QuickShow software when doing full color shows but I will still have to option to turn it all the way up when I want. I figured it was time to upgrade my reds to 638nm to get some more power! From what I understand, milliwatt for milliwatt, this should double the perceptible power of red in my projector. I am not all that concerned about having it display a "+" after joining them through the PBS cube, with the galvos moving the beams so fast, you will barely notice it. I know this because I use a 445nm in my projector and I (nor anyone else) have never noticed that it is a line instead of a dot.

Wish me luck!

Thanks for the excellent review and beautiful shots:wave:!! I ordered one of these from DTR and I can't wait to see it in action:beer::beer:!! I tried to post earlier and had some operator error with my tablet, thanks again!

Also "thanks" from me :)
This color is absolutely nice!
This is definitive worth to get a nice ranking on my wishlist ;)

Darn... I just tried to order one too, but their website malfunctioned... After filing in my details, I saw that one was mistyped, so I clicked on back. It immediately jumped to the "order was sent" screen, without Paypal. Now I'm waiting for their e-mail, to see if it was a false message or if they received anything.

I think you can also order from their ebay.

I ordered one from DTR the other day. I think I found a donor for one of the Krytons that I got from Pontiac. :D

Alright Guys.

New Power Reading.:D

Before i put it in its new Home I gave it a Bump again.:eg: :wave:

Its at 475mA now.

This Diode is more of a Testing diode. The Next one iam getting its going to stay at ~280mW. Just to make sure it dint shift in wavelength as Much if it even did at this power.

Well see once these guys with a Spectrometer test the diode out to see where its at.:wave:

I also Cleaned the Diode window and replaced it with a Brand New AR coated Acrylic Red lens.

Iam Going to try with my 405-G1 tomorrow or the fallowing day to see what i get. I dint want to take it out of my Arctic since i only have 2 G1 lenses and they are both in lasers that are Fixed and the lens is not easily removed. Ill let you know what i get. But it should be close to ~480mW.:wave:

Holly fuck dude that hectic!

Push to death soon? hit that 500mA's :)

With a 650-G-1 you will break the 500mW range easyyyy!

Keep up the good work.

Do you have a diffraction grating? You can use RHD's calculator to find the wavelength.
