So how do you discharge these things safely after you're done incinerating things?

Is there really any problem with leaving them charged? 2V isn't exactly deadly.

You could just discharge them the same way you discharge regular capacitors - by placing a resistor across the output. A regular resistor probably wouldn't discharge it any reasonable amount of time without bursting into flames so an automotive lightbulb would probably be a better choice

So you think there's a risk that if you leave something on the shelf, it will short-circuit?

So my friend brought over two of these bad boys today. Took about two hours to charge 'em in parallel (or maybe less, wasn't timing it), but the point was, it was fucking insane. Didn't have anything fun to pop, but it did some neat stuff, like, for instance, made some ordinary copper wire glow red hot. Also managed to severely damage some spare aluminum I had lying around.

Please, please dont shock yourself with it.

Although, the low voltage will probably stop it from penetrating your skin

btw, what did you charge it with?

@bobhaha, if you, or anyone else in Aus were to organize a group buy i would definately take part, I would probably buy 4, or maybe 8

Cool... When you make your mind up PM me, because I am organizing for someone to reship them for me. So far we have about 17 accounted for plus a few extra parts that are not cap related.

Anyone else in Australia that wants to get on this deal... PM me ASAP.

Cheers
-Adrian
