GB: 2$ copper modules ALL SIZES CLOSED

Re: GB: 2$ copper modules ALL SIZES

I don't know if you saw it AnthoT, but I made a google docs spreadsheet. Its up to date as of right now, with 498 orders!

EDIT: Just saw you have posted it in the OP.

For you people who want aluminum is it really that important? I mean, wont it be easier to get all copper instead of, 500 copper and 30 aluminum?

yes.. since the copper one's are $2 freaking bucks a pop.^^^

Re: GB: 2$ copper modules ALL SIZES

Go ahead and bump me to 100 5.6mm, 20 3.8mm and 5 9mm all in copper.;)

Also we have decided to thread the back of the module for the Aixiz back half?

Yea its looking like it right now :D

I'm going to go update the threads list right now.
Thanks to all keeping the google docs list put to date

Do you know if the threads are loose like the Aixis ones? Or are they tighter like the ones you can from JaRob and other members here?
Threads are exactly like the Aixiz modules threads so what works in those will work in these :D

Will the rear be threaded? Because personally I'd rather have more contact area with the heatsink. Who cares about rear threading?

I do for my modules that I sell.:p

Re: GB: 2$ copper modules ALL SIZES

just to play the devils advocate--since you have no sample, what happens if these are not made in a way that is ideally usable..

just sayin'

I can make some with and some without no problem :D I'll just get whoever wants threads at the end with threads at the end and whoever doesn't Ill make without ;)

Well if they respect their +/-0.02mm and my drawings I sent the manufacturer there won't be any problems ;)

Does anyone have the threading dimensions for the back of the Aixiz module. I need them by tonight preferably. Or if someone can get the exact diameter at the back that'd be great :)

If offered the choice I would prefer that the back of the module not have threading. Why remove mass and reduce thermal transfer area?

It's only for a few members I would buy both and those who want it will get it. If you don't want it you won't get that you'll the normal one your expecting :)
And I'll only be able to get the the threads if I get the dimensions by tonight

EDIT:I apologize to the members wanting back threads but I'm telling you guys now I cant seem to find consistent enough numbers when looking for the thread size on the back since its not confirmed ( I don't have appropriate measuring tools for this either) :( I don't want to add a part to these and I'm not sure about. I'd like these to be problem free so for that reason it doesn't look like the threads will be on the back :( you will simply need a press tool or a block of wood or steel with a hole drilled to te diode diameter to press it in.
If I make a round 2 at some point I will look at making press fit backs included if there is enough interest as it would only bring the price up ~1$ or so.

So to keep these at the price and to make sure there are no problems they will have to stay as planned originally. I did try looking for the threading sizes but I can't trust them as they make no sense.....

And so every module will be smooth on the outside and it will have great thermal contact. All copper modules are polished :D

Edit again: RyanElectro did you get my pm this time :p I want to make sure youre getting them :D
