Ehgemus 32650 and 2X32650 Sandblasted Hosts

Yeh that 2x 32650 is HUGE, some crazy runtime your gonna get from that thing, if the batts were in parallel then that would be truly crazy

By the way, how do you know which diodes to use in 1.8a builds? i've heard somewhere that some inefficient diodes wont even be able to take the 1.8a's of current and just die on you, do you individually test each diode or something?

o...m...g... those look amazing! once again wonderfull build!

Gues i will go pm ehgemus if he can make me one of those to :p these are like the perfect looking hosts in my eyes, i always liked the new RPL hosts from Opto to and these remind me of those.

i would rep you but i gotta spread the love around some more :p

Just awesome...

I like them both, but the single cell one with the dual FlexDrives takes the cake!

Quick question... Does the Jib driver give at least a couple of minutes run time stable the way you have it heatsinked? Because I've got Maglite orders waiting on FlexModP3's, and I may offer an alternative (with discount) if it doesn't over heat at that current...

M140 diode? As in the replacement or in addition to the A140?

Apologies in advance Ignorance isn't an excuse ...

The M series is the new projector that just came out. It uses the same 5.6mm diodes and I am in the process of testing to see if they are any higher binned. So far it looks good.

I can't say this enough for individuals that are looking to build a high powered unit. You need to test your diode first @ a more conservative level. I check them @ 1.5A and if you get more than 1500mW with an Aixiz then they are good to use in a higher powered build. If you use a diode that is giving you less you take the chance of it burning out in a short period of time. A highly efficient diode will turn more of the current into light instead of waste heat.

I have not done any duration runs on them yet but I will. I have only done 2 minute runs on both so far.:D

Thanks for the praise guys. Ehgemus what an awesome concept and the finished product is amazing. Great Job:beer:

What da actual f?ck...

If I'm counting correctly, that's $2500 I'm looking at right there.

You eat'em like cereal for breakfast or what?! :D

Dude, epic hosts! I never tried feeling the sandblasted aluminium texture under my fingers... how's it like?

I don't every want to run out again.

It is very nice and gives a little more solid grip.;)

I also fixed your spelling of aluminum.:p

Aluminium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I wouldn't think so ;)
In Croatia, we also say "Aluminij" with second "i", and it's widely accepted word, it's only in America (not sure about UK) where spelling is just tad different.

But anyhow, how's that sandblasting compared to say... knurling?

I did not know that.
Aluminum versus Aluminium: Where did that come from? : The World's Fair

And firefox's spellchecker lights up when you spell it ium. You would think it would accept it both ways.

Spellchecker shouldn't light it up, both are widely accepted words... oh well.

Well anyhow, epic mighty hosts you've got there :)

I seem to have lost my favorite "do want" picture.

Epic, just epic.

WOW!!! at first i though the host was powder coat, the sand blast handle is probly great for a tite grip which youll need for handleing such a powerfull unit. I rep both of you"DTR & EGHEMUS" all that i can give!!! lol, this site only gets better & better I never get board here, cant wait till i do so i can do something else like I use to:topic:

Wow man the hosts are as beautiful as the builds:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:!! DTR and Ehgemus make masterful art out of their work:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::!!
And as you said man you don't want to run out of flex drives again, same here, but I was only thinking that I ordered a lot of them, silly me;););)!! That is a lot of flexes!
