Belphegor
Goddess of Artful Invention
This is #2 in my line of dual builds and I went straight back to the 3.8mm package 411nm diodes:drool:, as a matter of fact 2 of them. Let me state that the camera does not show how awesome the color is on this unit it really looks a creamy violet to me almost white

Straight to beam shots
Great pic of those sugar sweet Newports .05" mounts:san::bowdown::bowdown:
Pretty straight forward I used 2 Groove 2 drivers as I mounted them on some copper pads. I chose the Groove driver, well just because I had so much already going on that I did not want to chance any malice to those honey suckle diodes.
The secret here are the mounts:wave: This was way easy to align... NO... way fun to align I must have had to do it 20X on this build and it literally took only 2 to 3 minutes each time to get the beamz matched up.
As I finished the build I wrapped it up in an acrylic sleeve with a "end cap" this way it becomes compartmental, this aids in being able to adjust and break down the unit as needed.
The diodes are being driven 1 @550mA the other @556mA and both diodes output was over 850mW for power. Everyone love GITD decals:wave:
After each diode passing though a lens and either a dichro or a cubes there were some substantial loses. I can say the that this thing is a massive burner it is a very dangerous HH it will smoke anything in it's path almost like a laserpen supersharp it burned the crap out of my fingers many times.:cryyy:
Thats' right 1335mA well over 1W of gorgeous 411nm schweetness
Some closing pics
Thank you for looking I hope this build proves to be some eye candy for those who dwell here.:thanks::beer: and if you have any questions just ask. As I always say get out there and build one. Thanks again.-jander6442
