CLOSED Copper modules - 5.6 & 9mm - $2

Re: GB: Copper modules - 5.6 & 9mm - $2

While they look good and were at a good price, I am kind of disappointed that these have threads on the back. It's near the diode side too, which I'd prefer to have filled for extra heat conduction.

Will there be a run in the future that truly do not have any rear threads?

In the end it was going to be too much trouble to have 4 different variation of a module made so I ended up going with threads.

Gah, missed out.

Might have to grab some along with my kryton.

Any plans to host another round for modules without threads?

I've always thought that most people just toss the rear holder that would screw on anyway; so the threading effectively reduces mass and surface area on the module. Maybe it doesn't matter so much because the module is copper, but it'd still be nice to have that extra mass and surface area close to the diode.

Re: GB: Copper modules - 5.6 & 9mm - $2

I will usually cut the aluminum backs I have in half or less in my builds. It stick out far enough to protect the diode pins from getting bent or pinched, gives as much if not more mass than it would without the threads and I can use my press tool. So if you do it like that you should be as good if not better than if you had not threaded them at all.

Re: GB: Copper modules - 5.6 & 9mm - $2

Got an e-mail two days ago stating they were shipping that day. I sent an e-mail just now asking for the tracking # so I can make sure I am home to accept the package.

So, it should be arriving in just a couple of days.

Those of you who wanted your package shipped to Blord, Make sure you confirm it with him first, and give him your real name (as your paypal transaction shows)

I'll then get the list from him and ship your packages with his.
I will be shipping Blord's order Express mail 3-5 day. I can fit up to 4 pounds in a padded envelope.

Even if you've already set up something with Blord, you may want to confirm as he recently broke Fibula so he may not be up for the task.

Thanks, I am still alive. :)
Don't forget to ship the other stuff I have ordered from your webshop. It was order number: 73

I know offroadfreak joins with me in the same shipment. I actually don't know who else is joining with me. Please confirm in this thread.
Laying in the couch in front of the TV the whole day has drained my memory. :)
