Re: Burning Crystal (photos)

Thanks ;) I am going to continue trying to take this onto yet another level

Re: Burning Crystal (photos)

I'm not kidding when I say that you could submit those 10 or so photos alone, to a stock photography website, and probably bring in $20 a month of effort free money in perpetuity without having to do anything once submitted. Stuff like that sells.

Re: Burning Crystal (photos)

Nice pics Dan! Some of those would make great wallpaper IMO..

Thanks rhd, I take your compliment sincerely. Your photography ideas and pictures that I've seen before have impressed me so I really appreciate it!

Interesting though, I've never considered using any pictures for website promotions, sales ect and I wouldn't know the first thing about trying to sell them. Maybe if the movie Tron were anything closer to real life then that could be another story ;) This is just a new idea of mine I want to improve upon but I'd love to learn more about what you're talking about.

Thanks man! I have full res versions of all these plus 100s more & I'm happy to share any of them with anyone, just comment here or pm & let me know

Thanks, hehe that's my kind of scenery - I am infatuated with it!

Thank you too, I am happy to share them & appreciate your positive feedback :D

I am glad you like it, I thank you too!. It's feedback like this that makes most of it worthwhile. I hope to take it above & beyond somehow  pretty soon so I can share more results here. Thanks again folks for your kind words!

This... is...

Dude, you are cramming too much awesome into too little internet.

I'm so +repping the sh*t out of that post.

*Searches dictionary*
Nope, no suitable replacement for
"Holy f***ing mother of f***ing balls c**k sh*t those pictures must have taken AGES to set up and capture properly, setting aside the very IDEA of mixing crystals, electronics, and lasers which amazingly goes together so f***ing well".

Amazing photos! They really capture the beauty of lasers ;) +1

Re: Burning Crystal (photos)

I guess the others should be glad that you didn't submit in the last contest.
Definitely takes things up a few levels.
Very well done to you sir.
You should be making a few bucks from them !
They are getting that good.

Hehehe too funny Eud! I was actually thinking a few times 'what would Eudaimonium say about this?' when looking through some of the beamshot/refraction pics because not too long ago we had talked about the different ways certain cameras pick up the beams. In some of these you can see both the gritty, particle-reflecting of the beam as well as the solid, glowing, 'barlike' beams. :D Your reply though hahaha, thanks man!

And you are right about the setup, it took hours!! Creating the set for these shots (circuitboard layout, laser placement, hitting the crystal from the right angle so they appear to be shooting, correct lighting, proper background, hanging dry ice/ice fog dispensers from the ceiling, ect, ect) to get the results I wanted was difficult! I had stuff falling down a lot too, usually from the slightest bump or nudge when moving the camera around almost destroyed the set several times:D

Amazing photos! They really capture the beauty of lasers ;) +1

:thanks:

Here you go, dude.

I've actually looked for photots very similar to your's in the past. Go post those up somewhere and make some money.

Nice, thanks for sharing the information and link! Yeah I mentioned before not knowing about the idea of someone else using anything like this for commercial or business purposes. I'll look into posting some of these on istock just to see if anything ever comes from it

Well thank you too for your kind words too. I did submit a photo in the last contest, that was most of what brought me to rebuild my miniature circuit cities for crystal laser warfare once again hehe. A few of those shots up there could give away my submission but I didn't make the top 10 so I dont think it matters ;)

I appreciate everyones feedback once again! I look forward to building another set for more shooting soon. I plan on messing with gravity, translucency, room temperature and a few other things to take it all to another level :D
