Hey LPF,

I've been talking to vortish for the past few weeks and he honestly isn't in a very good spot.

As most of you know his health condition isn't perfect and he constantly needs to deal with taking tons of medications everyday, on top of that the pain he needs to endure is unbearable. He now needs your help, he is currently looking for a job and trying to raise enough money to fix his family van so he can get to and from the Doctor's office as he is being tested to see what is going on with him. If some of you do not know, vortish experienced a mini-stroke not too long ago and is doing his best to stay on his feet.

For donations, please send payments via Paypal. The link is below:

Re: Fellow LPF Member in trouble

The cost of a srtarbucks coffee IF sent to Jeff instead would make no difference to us.
and dont be afraid to just send cash-we all used to do that long ago and its not risky if you hid the money with a piece of a paper so it cant be seen by holing up tp light-
Being out of work is bad- BUT being also ill makes this worse and Jeff has a huge family and I doubt there will be much under his tree--so grab a stamp and envelope and send something to Jeff--

+6 to the OP

I think that's a good idea. I'll add a list to the op and about how members need positive rep and a good amount of posts. What should the minimum be for rep and posts?

How many tickets are you selling (to give people info on their odds of winning)?

Re: Fellow LPF Member in trouble

You can add five of these I will donate, that will make at least six winners:

532nm Green Laser Pen Point Military Torch Flashlight 1mW 5MILES 5mW 8000M Range | eBay

I will measure the output power of each one and include the measured info showing the amount of 808nm IR and 532nm green. They will all be 50-60 mw combined IR and 532nm due to no IR filter. I expect the real 532nm power to be closer to 30-40mw. If the drawing goes beyond Jan 5th, I will have to mail them all out for someone else to distribute as I will be working in a remote location for over a month.

Edit: I already have them in hand now.

Re: Fellow LPF Member in trouble

That being said, we currently have a donation page set-up to help vortish with his medical bills along with other things he may need. Any donation amount will help, no matter how big or small.

Sorry to hear about the hard times.
