Bitcoin

Wooooo! :D
I just passed the 3000kH/s mark for Litecoins :)

Why? It's not like a normal product where prices will lower because of competition.
IMHO it would be better if everyone used just one currency, that way all buyers and sellers would be "compatible".

I can see your point of the argument and I agree with that. I believe in the saying "don't keep all your eggs in one basket"

The value of the Bitcoins has dropped below $500. I wish the coins are more stable. It doesn't matter at which level.

Give it time, it's getting more and more stable all the time. This might look like a huge crash, but it's "just" a 50% drop. Back in 2011 drops of like 500-1000% over the course of a few days were not unheard of. If we extrapolate, the value will be very stable indeed in just a few years.

Also, after experiencing a few crashes you stop worrying so much. Even though I just lost around $400 worth overnight, I don't really care. It'll go back up eventually.

Yeah, I'd like to see BTC stabilize at $100 or something. I think it'll make it easier to buy and sell coins too, as moneychangers won't have to worry so much about volatility and supply.

Like said earlier, once you've been in the game for a few years it stops being so worrysome. My wallet effectively is now worth about $18,000 less but I ain't worried. I survived the 2011 slide from $32 to $2. Yawn. Wake me up if he hit single digits or something. ;)

I got it all optimized now, getting round 5.5MH/s :)

Gotta love litecoin mining.

Lots of stuff have been happening in the bitcoin world! For example, two huge stores, overstock.com and tigerdirect.com have started accepting bitcoin! Getting more and more mainstream every day.

It was just a joke, someone found out they could sell tiny fractions of doge at very high prices per coin and coinmarketcap would see these tiny transactions pass through the API and publish the data even though it was a volume of like 0.001 doge @ $400

I just noticed this on DTR's site :D

Great news indeed. I'll buy all my diodes in bitcoin from now on. One step closer to a closed loop bitcoin budget for my store :)
