Best Laser Show EVER!

How is he terminating the beam in the air like that? is it a piece of glass?

I can't find anything on this caoutchouc foil that is in the title, I'm guessing that has something to do with it :/

Not bad, this is a good one too:

Edit: @pontiacg5, he could be using a fine mesh screen, I know Things has done it on occasion, his old NQLasers logo was done with some fog and a mesh screen

He is terminating an a scrim. Think of it as a white plastic mosquito netting, in fact, that is exactly what it is.

Here is a popular scrim, its what most people from PL use. (including me)
Either white, clear, or gray. I like white.

I've never seen that netting used before... It seems to allow for a whole slew of different effects! I will keep this in mind for my own system.... I'll need to do lots of experimenting it looks like!

Yeah, scrim can be used to draw affects that seem like they are floating in mid air, but I guess if you get dense enough mesh you could terminate the beam completely.

Typically you want some laser to still pass through the scrim, like in the above video, so you get a graphics and beam show at the same time!

That show is done with a German software called Laser Design Studio (LDS for short). It's one of over 100 that come with the software.

I've seen it used in laser projections before, basically as a sort of tv/monitor screen. You still see the beams behind and beyond the screen, but it forms a pretty steady image to look at.

The combination with the beamshow in this post is very nice!

YouTube - 1W RGB Laser show @ caoutchouc foil
Its not my laser obviously but I was searching through youtube when I found this. I was mesmerized. I haven't seen many laser shows but this one blew me away.
I like how the blue laser dies at the end of the show...

Seriously though it's a great show, one of the first I found on youtube and there's quite a few others that are really great (many aren't that good).

It's a great show, but I wonder what's up with the green scanner on the right in the video? It's much weaker than the other green..

That's actually a very simple laser show. The flashing effect that beats to the music makes it appear to be a lot more dynamic than it is. It is a nice effect that someone requested of my software a long time ago but I never got around to adding. But after seeing it in use I think I might have to bump up the priority.
