Ban Darkarmyofone... Again...

I feel like I'm going to get jumped just because of what I might say here, but I did happen to vote no. I just can't bring myself to ban someone.

Who I am to say who must leave this forum because he may steal or lie?
For all it really matters, he can do that all he wants, and we should be no one to shut him up. What if Cold decides to keep him here? What then will you all have to say about Cold?

If we're trying to keep from from stealing and lying to newbs, thats sort of a dumb thing to do in my opinion. If we KNOW he will do so using the forum, then I say he should go since it would make everyone look bad. But the thing is, we haven't just left him alone for long enough to continue to go about his own business on the forum without being attacked. If we just let him be for a while, he will again prove himself trustworthy, or untrustworthy by his actions. He could be trying to fix things with customers now for all we know, but we're holding down.

No one should be kicked off the forum for what he says.

I say for now, prevent him from conducting business using the forum.
And discontinue darklasers ads on LPF.

But his account should be left alone, as he is still entitled to his own opinions.

I might a part of this "democratic" system we have here, but if for some reason Cold allows him to stay, despite the results of the poll, I will back him up completely.

Whatever becomes of this poll, so let it be. No more polls about Tyler after this one. No complaining about the results vs. the outcome.

If Cold keeps him or loses him, I'll be in full support of the decision.

Stuff like this makes me want to stop posting on the forum. It's a simple concept. Do you want LPF to be known to harbor dishonest thieves, or don't you?

You are a member of a self-moderated forum. If you care about how the forum is, then it is up to you and all of us to help keep it a pleasant place to do business. It is your responsibility as much as anyone's.

He's been here for some time already, and this is FAR from the first time he's been called out and reported to c0ld. Time's up.

Actually, he said sorry to you and not to me. He never posted anything bad about you so I dont really know why he did that.

ssargon, as HS just said, your vote was not for the issue at hand. You should have saved that vote for the " are some people on LPF too mean?" poll.

the votes need to be counted, and action needs to be taken. This is not even a close call. The members have spoken. The majority want him to step down.


I thought it was funny last night, when that thread of him being a pot farmer was posted. I thought it was even funnier when he denied that was him.
Yet one of are members discovered that those photos were being hosted on the same photobucket account that he uses for posting pictures on LPF

What will happen if he is allowed to stay? Eventually the elders will have to give up their quest to ban him. For their own sanity, and the sanity of the forum.
Threads and warnings, discussing Tyler's exploits. Will get lost and buried. New members will have deal with him on their own. With the risk of not getting what the paid for.

He has lied one too many times. Too many excuses have spewed forth.
It's those excuses that bother me the most. I actually care less about the lying and steeling.

I have also, thought about speaking out against Tyler before. Just always feared, him giving me negative rep. Like he has to so many other members. Well guess what I don't care anymore. I don't want someone like him on this forum.

I agree that if he doesn't get banned, because he helps the forum financially, I am not sure I want to be part of a forum that will allow people to be ripped off, and get away with it if you help play for the site.

If c0ld lets us know how much he contributes per month to the site, I am sure members here would be more than willing to cover that to stop this bullshit.

Crazy Jay spent several long hours this weekend pulling multiple threads togther so people could see the evidence in an easier to find form. Then you come in and tell him you made your decision based NOT on the evidence, but rather on how you feel about the way we are talking to/about Tyler. I'm sure his frustration just got the better of him.

Tyler needs to go away simply to stop this crap from happening around him. It does not follow others around. He brings it on himself. Add that to the fact that he is a thief and a liar and you have a strong basis for banning. Others have been banned for much less (ask Arenared). Whether we like it or not, banning is the principle tool for keeping peace on the forum.

We have no other way to control the actions of negative people here.

I think what most people here miss is that this forum is SELF MODERATED! Nothing will be done about this if no one brings it up. The admin has asked, that if we feel someone should be banned, to start a poll with our reasonings so it's easier for him to sort out.

There are no moderators reading over our posts, never will be, so this forum needs to be kept peaceful in whatever ways we can.

If so... does it perform as specified... does it actually output 400mW
of 405nm.. Did you do a Power test of the Laser's output on an LPM to be sure...

Its no use. He won't get it or doesn't want to. I think his responses should be considered null if Cold would to agree. The poll should be accurate
