Searching for colors not in common, that are not really expensive.
do they exist at all?
for example:
we already have dark blue(445nm) what about light blue?
Yellow is to expensive for sure.
Orange maby?
White?
Gray?
Olive green?
more?
Lets see....
Orange: that would be either 593.5, which is less than 589 but still isn't cheap IIRC
Orange could also be had as the wavelength 635, which is a lot closer to red but is apparently much more orange than 660. These are cheap for ~7mW, and you can find them on Hightechdealz.com for like 3.99 IIRC. Higher powers are likely to run a scarier pricetag, but I haven't looked into it.
White: white is expensive, and to make it you need 3 different diodes precisely aligned. One of the easiest kits for it is the White Fusion kit, a search should give you a FS thread. I don't think it is a viable option for handheld though.
Olive Green: they are coming out with different wavelengths of green, and I have heard rumours of a lower wavelength green possibly around 520nm, so possible, but it would like be quite expensive as that would be in the developemental stages atm.
Light blue is 473nm or 488nm, but 473 is very expensive and so is 488, although I am not sure I have heard of any handheld 488s, handheld 473s are very much available.
Those are the ones I know of, hope that helps!
