Anyone who knows where to buy radioactive materials?

Yes I'm serious! I started an education to be a hospital-physicsian, and have practised such as it. But I had to quit, because I "got insane", and was taken in on the mental-hospital :undecided:. (Yes it's true), but now I'm pretty healthy.

But my interest in radiation, is still there!

My idol:
The Radioactive Boy Scout

Best youtube video of all time. YouTube - How to make a nuclear reactor at home

Don't do it, you'll just end up with a bunch of radioactive crap everywhere + radiation sickness. The man built no reactor of any kind, just a big mess.

LOL at the "lead block" at 1:16 .....

yeah, try to lift a lead block big as that one holding it in that way, only with the palms on the sides, if you can ..... or to fall it on your table without crack it :p :D

Radioactive things aren't illegal to own. Just look at unitednuclear. With that said I still don't think it's a good idea to collect them and try building your own reactor or anything like that. It's a good way to either kill yourself or disappear when the government thinks that you're a terrorist.

Uranium marbles are radioactive! They are also fluorescent under blue laser light :)

uranium marbles items - Get great deals on Toys Hobbies, Pottery Glass items on eBay.com!

I did an experiment, to light into an uranium-marble. But I guess my lasers is to strong to se the fluorescent effect. But here it is:

Green laser into the marble:

EDIT: I know they shine very nice in UV-light, but I don't have an UV-light.

No, no! I have (at least a half) education in radiation. An uranium-marble, is pretty harmless. Earlier the maded food-plates in uranium-glass, for the beautiful green shine! But that's was on the border, that can be dangerous, so it is forbidden now!

Hey you can ask anything you want. Except for radioactive materials which are illegal.

I know what you are trying to do. Your acting isn't all that great either.

This is a respected forum. Go and tell your superiors that.

If you're not an officer of the law then you really need mental help and end the pursuit of dangerous materials before you kill someone.

People have been banned for far less than asking for illegal materials.

Hey if you want to answer his question then go ahead bud. Show him where you can find some plutonium why don't you?

Chillax dude. He's not talking about a chunk of plutonium, he's talking about things like these:

Radioactive isotopes and Sources

We literally played with these things in my high school physics class, such as putting them in cloud chambers and messing around with Geiger counters. Not dangerous unless swallowed, no license required, perfectly legal for anyone to own in the US.

"Radioactive" is a dirty word nowadays, and gets blown way out of proportion relative to what it actually means. Like at the hospital, when you get an MRI? That's not the fully name of the process, it's actually "NMRI", as in "nuclear magnetic resonance imaging", but they had to drop the "nuclear" from the name to stop people from freaking out about it. Flying in an airplane can expose you to more radiation than an NMRI, and can certainly expose you to more radiation than you get from these little disks with a tiny bit of radioactive material, yet people have no problem doing that. Hell, a banana contains enough potassium to register as radioactive on a lot of equipment: bananas are literally considered "hot" in nuclear facilities, and can even cause a false-positive for radioactive exposure if a person being tested eats one the day of being tested. Here's some more reading on the radiological dangers of the common banana: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana_equivalent_dose And don't even get me started on brazil nuts....

Just treat these disks like you treat those little packets of drying agent that come in the box with all your electronics: Do Not Eat!!!

Then there's the problem of what to do with 100 tons of plutonium, with an explosive power equivalent to nearly 2 billion tons of tnt................

Yes... If I had the chance I could drive the 3 000 km up to Murmansk in Russia, and just cut a hole inte fence into the radioactive facility. They are just guarded by some signs...

See; Murmansk; The harbour of death, the ultimate waste disposal of Plutonium.

Thank you, that is just what I'm searching for! United nuclear is exporting this isotopes. But it's pretty expensive, about $80 a source. But it seens a waste to purchase Po-210, when it's half-life is around 138 days.

When Litvinenko was poisoned with polonium, it was headlines; Polonium sells without liscence on the net. But the media stated that it would have att least 10 000 of these doses, but I'm not so sure about this...

Please unban me.... :(

Psychopatic here... I would not use this account more the than this post and PM some moderators....

But I just said that it that the former FSB-agent (Alexander Litvinenko) was poisoned by polonium. Not that I've plan to poison someone! I have no enemys!. And that the newspaper wroted that would about 10 000 doses of the upper written polonium to poison a person!

I just wrote that I don't think that, at it demands lesser doses!

But it's you who decide, if you don't want me. I'll accept it!

Regards, Psychopatic

I guess that you REALLY aren't planning on using the third account then, eh?

Peace,
dave

Yeah, he's one character all right. He deserved the ban more for being an annoyance than anything else. Hey Psychopatic, if you are reading this I recommend that you change your persona here and make a donation to LPF. Then become a good member who posts appropriately and maybe Ave. would give you a second chance. Remember donation and then contact admin to make your appeal. ;-) Cheers.
