Interesting development. Will be cool if this GB ends up converting from a J2 to a G2 GB. I imagine participation would increase dramatically if the GB opened back up and was $6 for authentic G2's.

I haven't seen any further commitment to $6 G2s, but sure, if that happens, it would be nice.

Are we going to get payment total PMs, or something like that? Seems like we should all start paying, no?

I'm waiting for a final reply from Susie to make sure everything is arranged correctly and then we will start paying! I will provide further instructions as soon as I get her reply! Also I went to the post office to check the shipping costs, the prices are the ones I mentioned before! :beer:

Probably a stupid NOOB question, but why are some pushing to close this J2 deal when a potentially more attractive lens at a better price may be available?

I imagine most of us signed up of this group by because as stated in the OP, the lens is about 1/4 the price for almost 95% of the G2's performance. Now, credit given to this GB, the G2 may be obtainable for about $2.50 to $3 less than this deal. Very different situation than stated in OP. Is it not a viable offer or something?

It would seem the leverage to make a $6 G2 deal would disappear once this J2 GB closes.

$6 is just the bare lens, right? Would cost extra for the barrels.

$6.5 for a barrel from DTR. Though that is in 5x, not 200x.

Well even if we get the total cost at 12-13$ it's still a very good deal! But then another thought comes to mind...how much do people that sell g2's for 30-50$ make... :shhh:

That is why a little competition is badly needed with any product. Monopolies lead is high prices & lack of innovation.

The sellers that sell them at 30-50$ probably don't buy in 200x quantities, or don't know of the source that can get them for that cheap.
