We're still waiting for a reply from laser66 but as far as I can tell 6$ is only for the bare lens...we will also need the barrel...I dunno how much it costs...:thinking:

I will soon have Lens Barrels for sale ... about $4 per one. If you get 200 ... I can do them for about $2 each.

Will they be able to focus on a 9mm diode?

Most lens barrels don't get the lens close enough to the diode. DTR had to stock different ones just because of this.

Be aware DTR likely buys them through laser66. DTR wouldn't be able to use the g2 name if they weren't from laser66. Also we don't know what the lens manufacturer is charging. Without O-like's new "g2" there wasn't enough pressure on laser66 for a better price.

Not G-2 ! The G series of lenses and their part number designations are trade marks of Creative Technology Lasers, LASER66.com We came up with the numbering system. The lenses are distributed exclusively by us. They are NOT from us, and they are NOT 405-G-2. O like has been informed to stop advertising these.

I have a similar design to DTR's barrels. My machinist will start working on them in about a week or two after I finish designing my new host ... so they will all come together.

I use G lenses mainly for the 9mm diodes ... I will update when I will have the barrels and will do an overview on them before selling any.

Doesn't matter much to me as the power loss is not an appreciable difference in terms of visibility, but I will wait for the best deal as well.

About o-like, they want to be paid by one person...in order to avoid being disputed by 40 people...I'm pushing for a better price at the moment...:/

I just talked with DTR and he said that he can supply us with the barrels for 3.75$ if we buy 200pcs...so we're talking about 10$ GENUINE G2 lenses! :beer:
