4W Blue Diode Coming! Single Mode Too !!

Does anyone now the WL of the high power red? I might have missed it. Also, Im with Moh

I don't recall seeing a 750mW red mentioned at all actually...I recall a 750mW 'single mode' 445 diode being mentioned though. :thinking:

i believe you its in the bunch of articles and press releases linked earlier in the thread. But you figure that these pico projectors use only diodes to make the RGB light, so a high powered red is absolutely a possibility.

Kaai and Soraa have always been basically the same company. Founded by the same people, same locations, etc. IIRC, Soraa was founded first, Kaai later, with different missions. It was simply reorganized and the companies "combined" under 1 name, so now it's just called Soraa. It was all originally in Goleta, CA (the people who founded the company are professors at UCSB, hence why they are/were located just a couple miles from campus). They're now moving much of the company to Fremont, but not all of it, some is still in Goleta.

And they don't make anything in red wavelengths.

I'm interested to see what their reply says, but let's just say I'm not holding my breathe.

Oh man, I just jumped into this discussion and found myself getting incredibly excited, I'll have to bookmark this one to keep updated. Probably need a full sized mag light for a host and a water cooling system of some sort. Count me in for the GB for all colors if all goes well.
