Searching now I can't find it. It was only a briefly mentioned sample several years ago and I don't remember the exact wavelength.

Only thing I can find near looks to be a pumped fiber laser: http://www.eoc-inc.com/ORSA/580 - 605nm Laser.pdf

I could be misremembering, old grey matter misfires now and then, but I seem to remember a price quote of $8900...

lol well they're generally used for medical science. though most of that is going to 561 now I believe. they're not exactly intended for the general household...

whats 561 used for? I know 577 is used in some sort of eye procedure

488 and 561 are used for fluorescing certain tissues and protiens I believe, among a few other things. so is 594.1 and 604

Wow man! Where and how do I place my order?!

You get super duper lucky.
These diodes I belived were being used in medical
Fluoroscopy of DNA. DNA sequencer.
They are very rare to find. And I don't think they're being
Produced anymore last I heard. (Anyone chime in here to correct me)
I think the diodes themselves
Are in the $9000ea range when new. Also the build
Featured here is the only one it's kind in the world
running 488nm wavelength.

Anyone want to correct me if I am missing details?
