473nm [BLUE] .VS. 603nm [YELLOW]

Guys if you were offered a 1mw yellow or 1mw bright blue what would you choose and why?

The choices:

Bright Blue 1mw
473nm


Yellow/Orange 1mW
603nm

Definitely the 473.. I find blues & greens much more attractive than yellow

Never heard of a 603nm laser. 593nm is the closest I have ever seen. :thinking:

I'd go for the Orange as well as I've already got a 100mw 405 and a 445 in the making. Not as bright as the 473 but the Orange would look pretty cool

This thread has me confused; why would a purveyor of cheap Chinese lasers even care what we think about 603nm photons? I can't even find an expensive source (I'm looking into dye?), much less a cheap Chinese one.

I don't know of any cheap chinese sources that offer 473nm either, for that matter. The ones I see inevitably originate at CNI.

Well, there are the ones that are sold by companies like Boblaser... not sure if they're made by a different company or if they're just CNI QC rejects.

if your talking about handheld lasers id take the 603nm:thinking:

if not id take 473nm, if it aint handhelds then the 603nm is probobly a HeNe and i do prefer a 473nm over a HeNe
