*445nm lasers* !GB-Closed!

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

kiyoukan- I wana see that number "3" on the end of the part number on the package for this array. Make sure that happens. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

If you look at the post, you can see that the prices are the same ..... probably, they just change the resistors and safety components in the arrays (and, maybe, just some slots in the aluminium, for avoid that one can use one model in the other projector), but with identical prices, i doubt that the LDs are differents .....

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

i am going to try to get the 140 but like i have stated they are most likely the same laser just driven a bit harder with a higher quality led.
so i will see if the price is the same when i get an answer and after that i will order.
even if the 140 is a bit more powerful you need more than 1w of 445?
that seems insane.
maybe a bit longer life due to will be slightly under driving them but, still we got the gold what do you want platinum?

Only get it if they're the same price. Although there hasn't been a definitive comparison of the 2 diodes, it's more likely that the a140 diodes (a couple people have posted graphs showing the difference) are better even if they are just the best out of the same batch.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I believe the 445nm laser diodes, for example, put out about 200mW at the lasing threshold.

I posted my 445nm test results on the Forum a little while ago
and lasing started at 220mA and ~7mW...
I think perhaps you had read that the Threshold was at 200mA...;)

everything is fine i some how had your name under the arrays section of ordering and when i was double checking things i noticed it.
all batches are filled but i left some wiggle room in batch three in case something goes wrong.
the arrays are all being ordered at once so it does not matter if your in 1 or 3 if andy con fails to pay by 3pm thursday i will go on without him.

I'm glad that you put a time limit on this...
We are already 1 day late in the ordering...:cryyy:

I hate waiting but that extra 2 orders could reduce the total cost of everything. but even still its no big deal, i have everything i need to place the order without him.
as soon as i place the orders for the arrays i am going to place go and buy a ton of bubble envelopes antistatic foam and bags along with containers for everything.

I'm just wondering why I am not on the list for diodes. I paid through your website last night.

Sounds good....

Andy_Con still has not responded to a PM I sent him
yesterday... and now he is Offline..

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

well i think hes going to be out of luck.
i cant wait forever just for him. he should have been able to get the money by now and send.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

O thanks, I don't know how I missed that.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Well I kind of expected it to be in the third batch seeing as I ordered mine after most of them were taken.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Haha, it's cool dude. I'm just a little frustrated after working on trouble-shooting a TV circuit board. Hate those things.

Oh if we get a choice I'd like Diamonds actually for the same price, not platinum; think top-of-the-line :) Easy now I'm just responding back to your analogy, it's all good.

As who really "needs" 1W, well I don't think anyone "needs" any of this stuff; but there certainly would be nothing wrong with getting an even higher and/or more efficient diode for about the same cost; that is a no brainier to me.

Doubt they're being driven harder cause outside of the projector is where most of this data is coming from, along with a different part number that is only used on the 2,500 lumen models across the board.
