The days of the 100+mW laserpens are over. None of the tested lasers reach the 100mW. :(

This sellers stuff goes directly with my pen tutorial. Recently received 2 orders of his triple color units and they are the exact ones I used to get from him when he was selling from China.
You will likely get a 405 in the 90 range and the 650 over 100 while the 532 is a crap shoot anywhere from 25 to 80mw. Believe he only ships in the sates now. Ships very quickly from California.

I may buy a set- although i have no luck with overspec pens. I have bought SO many ebay pens expecting overspec-ness, but each time, they are barely visible, even in the dark. Like, im guessing 1-2mW.
 
^ You power them with 1.2V rechargeable batts?

1-2mW 405nm lasers are BY FAR rarer than >50mW 405nm lasers when purchasing these 5mW pens
 
I tried 2x normal AAA, and 2x 10440's after that. the 10440's killed them each time :p, but didnt make a noticeable power difference
 
You're supposed to use a 10440 with a spacer. That way up to 4.2V will be provided, which is only slightly more than the 3.2V of two duracells.

oh well, doesnt matter. only a few dollars wasted. I was hoping for a nice cheap 405, though- i guess that will come when i build a true higher power 405, hopefully in my kryton.
 
I know these threads are old but does anyone know any nice lasers being sold on ebay currently? like over speced ?
