20mW 635nm diode on Ebay Lot of 10 for $175

If you don't buy them I still have two of the 20mW diodes from DJNY groupbuy that I want tp sell

heyy angelos!! i would definitely be into that GB... say is 20mW the max we can set these too or can they be over-driven?

if you want them to be near 635nm you dont want to over drive them. The more you over drive them the more they approach the mundane 650nm and lose their "orange". Also they move further away from the most visible spectrum so in essence the more mW out the less visible the spectrum so your getting a diminishing return.

awww that sucks...too bad those 40mW sanyos arent on ebay anymore. 20mW is cool but wouldnt it be just about as bright as say a 200mW 650?

No i dont think it would be as bright as 200mW 650nm but it will be slightly more orange. My 41mW 635nm is noticeably less bright than my 250+mW 650nm but its one of my favorite lasers. These diodes would be more valuable for their rare wavelength than shear brightness factor. Also they are much safer to "play" with than a similarly bright 650-660nm.

I personally dont care how powerful these rarer wavelength lasers are because they all look great with some fog or smoke!

PS: The seller also has a 500mW 635nm diode for sale. I know their divergence is terrible and im not sure how much they normally go for but he wants $350 FYI.

You can get a 170mW 635nm diode, HL63133DG to be exact, for less than $200 shipped.

That's what I'm saving up for

HL63133DG 170mW 635nm single mode diode

Yes it is single mode

It does 170mW at 635nm, and can be pushed to around 200mW at ~639nm. 200mW of 639nm is equal in brightness to a 600+mW 660nm

The member "francesco" over at photon lexicon has them for sale, and you can also buy them from the link

EDIT: I didn't google the data sheet either, but it's out there

About the diodes on ebay ..... the seller don't say if they are single mode, but he state the divergence as 50 degrees ..... i'm the only one that feel them multimode ? ;)

I will ask them and find out. I have been in contact with them to see if i can get a lower Price.

I asked them for some samples and are waiting for a response including the DataSheet.

I will let you know what they say.:)
