1000 mw Burning Diode Need Help!

no, aixiz modules are made for 5.6 mm diodes. but if you machine it out a bit then it might work :)

MOST of these green lasers are focused to infinity (which means they do not focus to a point). If you simply use a magnifying glass lens to focus the beam, you can burn stuff with pretty low output.

An Aixiz module can be modified to hold a 9 mm diode housing. It is best done on a lathe.

first off take the lens assembly and the machine the 9mm hole where you press fit the diode.

This is the type of heat-sink you need for the DDL/LM317 driver's regulator.
Driving it at 1W this H/S is a "must have"

I built everything but my laser wont turn on? (dont worry iam not looking into it!) I tested the ciruits I put together and they measured 5.99v out put iam sure thats working correctly. Iam not really sure how to test a laser diode I thought it would be just like a regular one. put dmm on diode test and got ol one way and 1.118v the other. Not really sure whats going on with it unless it just needs more energy. Iam running it off of 2 lithium batterys each 3 volt so total of 6 volt.
 
replace the 6v with a 9v battery and see if that works, also do you see a dim red light coming from the LD or no light at all?
