Yes you have to have a quality cell at that current. Get an AW cell and your problem will be solved! :beer:

Thanks for the parts you sent a while back. I think I did a pretty good job on the 18650 build. The only issue I have is that the laser turns on for only about 10-15 seconds before shutting off. After that, it turns on again for only 5 seconds or so, and keeps decreasing. Neither the heat sink or the driver feel like they're getting very warm. From what I have read, the problem may be due to the cheap cells that I bought (Ultrafire). Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hi, you mentioned the diode in your post... It's from the GGW-H20L sled. A 6X that we used to get. Not sure if they are still around. Because you can get a 12X for not much more...
