I'm going to be on vacation from 8/16 through the 23rd. Although someone will be at my home, they will not be checking my e-mails and forum PM's.
I plan on checking in every couple of days to answer PM's and e-mails, but once I take off on the 16th, I won't be shipping kits and lenses until I get back on the 23rd...

There is a finger grip, metal focus ring that screws onto your plastic lens nut. Remind me if you order and I will include an extra one for you. I would think that you do not need a custom made EzFocus adapter for my Mini Mag mod, because it is not too difficult to get the the AixiZ focus ring...
Jay
Hey is the mini mag from your kit supposed to be focuable? If it is can I use the kryton ezfocus thing? And the aixiz odule I got from mfgcn.com is focusable, but it's only plastic piece with a lens in it that screws in front of the diode there is no metal ring
Sorry, I don't know about that drive, but I would guess that it is not worth messing with...
The red diodes we use are from DVD burners. I wouldn't think that a CD reader (or writer) would be very powerful.
You can get LPC-815 sleds for $10 or $12 bucks. They contain the long open can red diode that will give you about 245mW's @ 420mA's through AixiZ acrylic. (back opened)
Jay
Hey jayrob, I found an Acer 56x max cd-rom drive that was collecting dust and I wanted to know if it's diode was burning or not or if it was IR or red do you happen to know about that or about plain old cd-Rom drive diodes?
hey jay, in the tutorials section of the thread is wrong, because I redirect to the homepage ... maybe
you have some tutorials that you can send me ... thanks
