I did a solo effort, lit the whole backyard up lol

yeah i agree about getting a good shot, mine where all pretty crap, gunna have to get a helping hand i think.

And a GOOD camera. That show was without smoke or anything... just a very humid night, but out of 20 or so shots, that was actually the best one

For the shot, setup everything first, and adjust camera using just one or two lasers... after that you can turn them all on. If you have a backyard, you should be able to manage solo... just use an egg timer or something to not let the lasers overheat. Couple of the 445's were hot enough to grill on

Good tips!

ive been using a DSLR, i must have lost the setting i had been using cause the photos came out crap.

the lasers i used didn't get hot, but i rushed a lot (probably a factor why the photos came out crap too)

It seems like the 445's steal the show too.

Ill attempt it again soon, i just received one of those o-like 400mW 532's, that should go well in the shoot.

Nice job Swimminsurfer256, this is a great idea! Those are sweet pics posted also, entered or not.

I imagine judging this is going to be tricky though. There's a lot of variables to think about when it comes to the best picture, but I guess since everyone's eventually going to vote then we'll see.

I'm curious if certain, less commonly seen wavelengths will impress people more than, let's say a very creative quad of 445s or some 532s(?) And the scanner shots, damn!! Those are in a class of their own & usually more impressive than handhelds IMO. I don't know, maybe a combination of everything is what's needed to win the big one. :thinking:

Haha, hopefully the customs officeres where stars wars fans and they where like "STARWARS FTW!" then did the wokie call then let it through.


ill let you know too, it was just the main body he sent, so ive got the lens/head and tailcap coming in a second package too be tricky.
