IF i can find a bigger tripod for my camera and get a clear dawn sky i think i might be able to get something special.
(probably not the best/most beams but a nice setting xD)

I agree :beer: the setting might be the creative part that swimminsurfer256 was talking about of course that you can do some different stuff
I just hope to get my laser on time to take some beamshots :evil:

Mine was taking with 8 second shutter speed and maximum exposure.
I'm thinking a bit less exposure would cure the graininess, but i'm not sure.
Not even sure if i'll bother entering, but i'm glad this thread was made or i might not have experimented with my camera and found out how fun slow shutter speed photography is!

150mw opto, got my camera settings right, now just to get the location+time of day right

What do you mean by props? The forum as a community is going to play the biggest part in judging so I'm not sure if having like a power ranger action figure holding your laser will do you much good..

Basically, if you can't classify your picture as a true "laser(s) 'beam'shot(s)" picture, then it's no good.

I have one question, would moving the laser with long shutter time so it "blurs" count as a beamshot?

My ~700mw 635nm from CNI.

A call this one, the RED room. The room was to tinted with a very nice red color, and the dot is just impossible to look at without glasses. This is one of my favorite lasers, Arynthia convinced me that it was a good laser and very bright too.

reginak that looks like it has better divergence than the new 635nm diodes do you know if thats true?

I really don't know. Looking at these new 635nm it seems they have worse divergence than the my CNI unit, but maybe because the lenses.
