DAM! Nice price drops.

Just to clear some things up, from their site

Wicked Lasers has acquired a major laser manufacturer to meet increased demand. As a result, extreme cost savings are being passed directly to our valued customers. Wicked Lasers products will continue to be the world's most innovative and highest quality handheld lasers.

Must be because the Arctics are taking all the sales. They can't get rid of their current inventory on the other lasers at the old price and they won't in the future. They had to price them accordingly so that they'd sell.

Its simple supply/demand....

Why sell to 10 people with a profit of say 100$ each if you have 1000 in stock.

Better to sell to 100 people with a profit of say 20$ each.

That 300mw Spyder Fusion for $499.99 also is very appealing. :O
If all this is legit, WL is cheaper than everyone else now. And they used to be the most expensive lol.

Even direct driving with AAA's is a bad idea.

I know a friend who I gave a LCC diode to, who killed it after 10 minutes of direct drive. Damn thing went LED.

Direct drive is a despicable waste of diodes.

Pardon my French here... but holy shit.

Am I seriously the only one that isn't eyeing the 130mW Evo?

So the question is did WL REALLY buy someone out? Who? or is this just another WL marketing ploy.....time will tell; it's not like it's above them to Lie to their customers.

Maybe they're getting ready to flush in the next 30 days and are raising all the cash they can get their hands on. Again I think putting Arctic's actually in people hands will answer a lot of questions. Cause if they can't do that......well then it ought to be obvious what they are really up to.

Do as you may, but at this time I would just PAUSE with giving WL any more $$$ to it's shown they can actually deliver the product that's been paid for. How would you like to be out for ($$$) an Arctic AND Fusion/Evolution etc at the same time?

If it's too good to be true, it usually is what???

Just saying be careful here, wait 10 days for the smoke to clear.

Exactly, if they're using a driver you can't expect much more than 200mW.

Edit:is it just me or is the site giving TONS of errors? I can't do anything on the site.

Nope, me and that friend have both killed an LCC diode through direct drive.

Shameful, yes. Never again.

EDIT: It's worse than the KipKay trashing of innocent diodes because I knew I needed a driver if I wanted it to live.
