It's the 304 that's the issue. If you invest a little more for one of their signature pointers you most likely won't be disappointed. You get what you pay for, I have 3 Sanwus that I'm happy with
Awesome, Thanks for that! Would you happen to know if the pocket series lasers are worth the price?

I have the 200mw 405nm and 50mw 520nm pocket. They pack a punch, my 405nm is 30mw overspec and does a good deal of burning when focused, the 520nm is right on spec. These lasers get hot fast (within 1 duty cycle) and drain the battery fairly quickly but that's bound to happen packing all that energy into a small package. Only complaint is there is a fairly prominent splash ring around the 520nm dot but to be fair I haven't tried to correct this yet, might be a simple fix. (Here is a thread about that)
In general yes they are worth it in my opinion and I like the variety of wavelengths they offer :)

Shenzen and Guangdong are basically shut down right now. Have you tried contacting them?

Hello everyone! In new to the laser pointer community and was going to purchase the 150mW 304 laser. After reading all of the reviews, I’m starting to second guess my choices. Almost everyone has said that their experience with Sanwu has been disappointing. Can anyone back up all of the good claims I’ve read throughout this forum? Thanks
I can’t backup anything positive but I will share the reader’s digest version of my negative experience. On January 20 22 I ordered a 304, 1600mw blue laser. I received it a month later. It didn’t work I contacted customer support who initially responded the following day To which I immediately replied. It took them five days to respond to that and they have not responded since. it’s been a month now And they will not respond to my texts or emails. I disputed the charge today with my credit card company for a refund. Crazy how many positive reviews I see about this company. So far my experience been anything but positive.

Those 303 and 304 style handheld lasers are far too small to ever put out 1600 mW of optical power. The duty cycle would be only a few seconds if someone tried to put that much power in such a small host.

So, you’re saying that in fact size does matter? Actually that is a serious question. What difference does it make the size of the host? I’m assuming something to do with heat dissipation?

Not just the size, but also the thermal conductivity of the heat sink material also. The ones used mainly are aluminum, copper and brass. Pure copper is the best of these with aluminum being second and brass, being much cheaper, is the least effective and is used in those 304 style hosts. When designing a heat sink the material and the surface area is important as the greater the surface area the more surface that can allow the heat to be carried away by the air.

i have been politely following up and barely getting any response at all. very discouraging, but i understand the pandemic has affected us all; a response would be nice though

Just made an order for the 3 basic (violet, green and red) lasers. Shipping to Netherlands. Will report back after delivery :)
The lasers arrived in good order. I did had to ask for the tracking code by email, as this was not send to me by themselves - I almost missed my import tax duty window because of this. Lasers are working as intended. Larger bodies than expected but that's to be expected for the price, that's how they keep the costs down.

Sanwu is located in the city of Shanghai which is in a Covid lock down and the likely reason for no communication

This. I have ordered multiple lasers from them, and I have had no issues. Flawless communication, no problem with delivery. Except with the last order, where I ordered a 2W 470nm Challenger II, which only lit up for a moment and then died. I have written to them 1-2 weeks ago regarding another planned order (and planned to talk to them about the broken laser) but there was no reply from them either. I assumed it might be due to the catastrophic COVID-19 situation in Shanghai. I will wait patiently until their situation is resolved, especially since I had really good experience with them so far.

I plan to order some products (over US $2000) from Sanwu Lasers.
However, your comments have made me uneasy.
Sanwu Lasers quality is not good?

I have ordered 3 Pocket lasers and 2 Challenger II lasers from them. All work flawlessly, except for this one blue Challenger. But stuff happens and overall their lasers are robust and work well for me. So personally, if they get back to me, I will certainly order from them again.
