How is the white balance in person. I take it that it pretty good considering the quality of the cyan and yellow.

White balance is just astonishing!
Compared to my other "El Cheapo" RGB module (which is way too blue tinted) this OptLaser RGB module will knock you out with beam quality / color balance, that's for sure!


I'm in love to BigClive RGB controller "Colour touch" mode. It randomize such color combinations that I never even could dream of. Pity you can't see the R/G/B values of current color.

You're tempting me with the Optlaser RGB modules ArcticDude.
Colour balance and beam quality are the most important things to me about an RGB.

I agree that in laserpointers worls 400USD is not that small amount. Maybe some more people would be interested to create a groupbuy? For like 5 pcs?
I'm happy that many hobbysts are our customers but also we can not lower the price too much because we have our distributors and agreements with them

If you made a module which was different in some way, it would not be breaking your distributor agreements because it would be a different module. I have ordered high gain Yagi antennas that way, had the manufacturer make a change which was better for me and then the model was no longer the same.

All required parts are listed in thread first post, you can calculate how much it will cost (aprox 1000€ - 1300€) depending host material etc.

PTEG as in a material is ridiciously durable but there is delicate dichros / optics inside. Droping the laser may cause dichros mis-alignment but those can be re-align again.

1000€ is quite a bit, if it was half price I would love to do it.... but it's an amazing laser, probably THE laser.
Adding digital RGB values so you can precisely control the laser colour.

With 4duino it would be actually quite easy add digital controls for RGB laser.

But seriously..

- if you are going to find portable RGB laser with programmable logic for 500€, that may take a while.
