New Portable Yellow Price:

PGL-III-C-589nm-100mW/Unit USD 1460.00 NEW PRICE!

New Blue portable Prices:

PGL-III-C-473nm-80mW/Unit USD 770.00 NEW PRICE!

PGL-III-M-473nm-80mW/Unit USD 780 NEW PRICE!

btw, for those interested in such facts, the Insured shipping for the latest 11 lasers averaged $27 ea in a GB, but individually, it w/ be more costly to get them here from China.

Yeah, I too would take out a loan to get a 505nm or a 457nm in a portable, preferably PGL III-C at least 10mW:D

~445nm might be easy to get in powers above 10mW in a portable. It will be a diode laser, though. I know CNI lists a 447nm diode laser up to 400mW in a lab unit.
A deep blue would be a fantastic color to see between a 405nm and 473nm.

It sure would:D Although I love 473nm, a darker more intense blue would make a nice laser, I will look into the suggestion.

Man Glenn I just had a scare...

I took out one of my favorite lasers today, my GLP 473 blue pen, and when I pressed the button, all I saw was a flash of blue and then nothing...

Beads of sweat almost ready to start as I checked the battery. It was at 2.96 volts.

I put a new battery in and was very relieved to see it measure right up to 30mW's instantly!

Phew!

Just had to share that. What an awesome little pointer...

Thanks for your GB service Glenn! :)

Has happened many times here with my PGL, I notice dimming, so I put it on the LPM, and watch it sadly drop to less than .5mW, but so far a newly charged batt has always made it better, it does make your heart sink though, untill you are sure of the problem, and replace the batt.

Man, I so would have got a PGL-III-C 80mW 473 if that was the price last time! Well, I bet I'll be lining up for that coming soon, then... I'm betting I'll be part of a few of these GBs going forward. :)

Dave is so right about this being a neverending cycle!

If it has not been 30 days, then you could still trade up I'm sure, aryntha! Maybe even if it was a bit over the 30. -Glenn

Hmm. Yeah, but would it take about 30 days to do? I mean, shipping to China, waiting for production, waiting for shipping back.. :p Would that be the process? How have trade-ups gone in the past?

Part of me just wants to wait and see if 100mW+ 473s happen in PGL-III-C down the road, but also I kind of worry that the FDA may get uppity and we may not be able to import these forever :( ...

Hey Glenn - what's the status on the new yellow GLP-589nm 1mW pointers? Are you still waiting to get enough people to place an order? Thanks.

You can still legally buy and own the PGLs though right, I mean isnt that the point of all the fda approved saftey features? I should go and read the laser laws...

Absolutely. They're legal. I just worry about things changing. But thats OT for this thread, I don't want to hijack it... I DO want to see if we hear anything about new wavelengths though. :)

If we could get a new WL for GB #10, that'd be amazing, but it's probably hoping for too much. :)

I figure the more people that would be willing to order the new wl, the more likely they will do it, hoping anyway:D I think we should try for indigo or teal first:D

Lol aryntha you have so many great lasers to bridge the time gap. Give one of your older dusty lasers a chance during the wait :)

I´m interested how far 473nm goes in the next two years

I'd absolutely go for an indigo or teal as well.. I'd hope it'd be PGL-III-C; but i know others have other preferences... I think maybe if we show enough demand here CNI may do it... I'm really hoping so...

I'll take any new wavelength. Whatever you guys want to go with, i'm on board with it and i'll be in the GB for it.

Yeah, my vote is on the PGL-III-C host as well:D And im for any new wl as long as its relatively stable, and at or over 10mW.
