WTB: LPM with fast response (Ophir?) sensor.

Don't mess around with the pots inside the head. If it isn't outputing zero volts with no input, then it is likely some other factor that is causing the sensors metal body to be a different temp than the sensing surface. If I stand too close to my sensor it doesn't output exactly zero.
 





It came pre-zeroed. Well - it came pre calibrated which I take to mean it was zeroed. It produces zero (or maybe 1mV) in absence of a light source.

Alot of the Heads are Not Zeroed or come slightly off Zeroed.(3mW,4mW 7mW -5mW etc) Kenom Had to Zero some of them out way back then. Look it up.

If it comes at 0 your lucky lately.

I know the difference between something else like the body of the sensor causing it to not be at Zero or putting my hand in front of the sensor since its that sensitive but if it always stays at XXmW then you need to Zero it.

Zeroing the head does not effect the calibration.

But if you dont know what you are doing, Yes Dont mess with them.

But seems to not be need in this case.:)

If your laser has some splash around the dot then the different aperture of the sensors plays too. I don't expect the coatings to be the problem. Try measuring the laser behind a small aperture so that you can guarantee all light passing hits the detector.
