Well to be perfectly fair, all the names with some variant of "laser" in them and all avatars with lasers (animated or otherwise) is what I'd define as "stuffing your lasers into everybody's face". I don't mean you in particular, it's the general mindset; You, random person reading this, don't need to have your laser collection in your avatar, we know you like lasers, this is a laser forum, that's why we're all here. Make a nice slideshow on Photobucket. I'm not getting any useful info from a 250x300 pixel image in your avatar anway. Might as well make it different from other 70% of avatars out there.

Also don't take me wrong, I equally "hate" the utterly unexplainable dedication and enthusiasm over a children's cartoon. There's like a gazillion of other movies or series that a normal person would assume has a larger fanbase than a kid's cartoon, which ironically isn't watched by kids aparently. Somebody, someday, will have to explain this one to me, because that's literally the one thing, seemingly unlogical and related to pop culture, I've been unable to figure out.

I don't actually have anything against people who have no desire to watch MLP. I do however take a little offense to being called annoying. I don't stuff anything in anyone's faces. I am only posting pony related stuff on this thread since this thread was made in regards to the joke. If you dislike ponies/bronies so much maybe you should just ignore the entire thread based around it. You came to this thread by your own free will.

i wasnt a huge fan of the ponies at first but i didnt hate them. after the april fools prank i have to say they are really quite funny and i have downloaded a bunch of .gifs that i plan on using when appropriate. trying to find a good one for my avatar because they are pretty darn funny

Lol, how does a simple avatar change for April Fools make you "involved"? That's like saying me eating a salad makes me "involved" with veganism. I guess anyone who passes you on the street wearing a pony shirt is stuffing it in your face?

This one made me laugh quite a lot...

BTW, it's not so much what the show is about but rather the characters themselves as well as the humor. There is a lot in the show that would go right over little kids heads that is subtly snuck in.

Those shiny vampires are actually for horny postmenopausal women, or tweens. I mean come on, the guy actually sparkles in sunlight.... I literally could not stay awake through either the first or the second movie, and I'm actually kind of a vampire lore fan.

Now as for horsey's.... try watching South Park instead, plenty of subtle and not so subtle messages there.

I guess it's because of how different it is. It was supposed to be a show just for little girls and their parents, but the way the show is done has made it appealing to people of all ages, and it's probably that "shock factor" of "how can a show for little girls be this good" kind of thing that makes it so popular. Also, the people who do nothing but hate on the show in almost every internet forum just draws more attention to it.

And I never thought that Spongebob's fanbase was anything but big?

Don't try to apply logic to mythical creatures... actually vampires I can deal with, it's the zombies that bug me.

Also while they do not have a heartbeat (in most cases) they do have blood pressure... fiction :undecided: reality... for amusement I tend to pick the former.
