What the Hell??

Law of conservation of energy.

Shambling around continuously, running after that one person that always seems to separate from the group, looking for flesh - that takes energy, so where are they getting it from?

First off Spongebob has/had in its most popular stage a massive fanbase that far outsizes MLP.

I think Raiden hit it pretty much on the nose on why MLP is as popular as it is. Some people may be shocked at how many people far outside the target audience of say Powerpuff Girls actually watched the show. I'm not saying I did but it is the same creator as MLP. On that note Adventure Time is massively popular with college students but is a kids show.

I watch South Park and like it quite a bit but it doesn't mean that because I do, that I shouldn't seek out other cartoons that are entertaining as well. MLP is entertaining and funny without the need for blatent vulgarity.

ApexProxy, just curious, but were you an MLP fan from the time when it FIRST came out, like in 1995? I remember watching it as a kid and I really liked it. Unfortunately the series didn't last very long, and after that I didn't know about the entire Bronie movement. Now I'm into Anime... so don't think I'll be going back there. Might be nice to revisit my childhood shows though...

And yes, I kinda understand what you mean. In Anime, we have a particular genre called "Magical Girl" or "Mahou Shoujo" (in Japanese). The audience appeal ranges from kids all the way to middle-aged adults. They have taken statistics to verify it, and kids don't form the majority of the viewers ;p

Also no reason we can't reconcile ponies and zombies...

That's creepy Infinitus. BTW, I was thinking about the zombie thing, not only does a zombie needing to eat at all not make sense(at least how it is usually depicted) but at the same time they would dry out and would only last like what two weeks before they were zombie boards. I believe the whole zombie eating flesh thing is just to give zombies a reason to be feared. Otherwise they would be totally inert and nobody would even care to think about them. Give them a dangerous intent and now they are important. Zombies as most TV depicts them have more physical impossibilities than I care to list.

I am Legend zombies(the movie ones) are some of the most physically possible ones I have come across. They aren't dead but rather their minds are simplified down to pretty much two modes: eat and hide from sun. The one thing that I think could potentially make that type of zombie a little more traditional would be that maybe they have zero regenerative ability, feel no pain and have no immune system so their bodies would fall apart and decay. The drive to eat would be solely to maintain energy to move until they fall apart too much to either process food(not that even at that point they would know the difference and keep eating or at least trying to) or they don't eat often enough and run out of energy or run out of water and dry out.

MLP came out in 1986 which was the first generation. That was before I was born so... nope not so into it lol. I am a fan of the latest series that was released in 2010 and have been watching since like episode 15 of the first season.

The zombie pony, or batman? Which is creepier ? :p

Yeah, basically that's what bugs me about zombies. They just don't make sense to me.

Any zombie apocalypse would be over in 1-2 weeks, a month MAX because after they simply would not be able to move... decay clearly does affect them.

I too am glad it was ponies and not Hello Kitty. Lol well Spyro is the bomb.
I could not agree more with both of those statements. :D Personally, coming onto LPF and seeing ponies around every corner quite literally made my day. ^_^ If it had been Hello Kitty...I may have wept a little... XD
