What is your internet connection speed?

Download - Upload kbps :(

$70 a freakin month, and a 40GB/month cap :(

Thats Aussie internet for ya :(

Tho in like 8 years, Ruddy is intending to have fiber to everyone. Dunno how true that is tho...

That's NOTHING compared to the internet at my parents house. I don't live there at the moment but when I do, this is what I'm subject to:

20kbps download speed
6kps upload speed.

$40 a month, 5GB monthly cap.

That's in Tasmania, Australia. Did you know it costs MORE money to transfer internet between Tasmania and Mainland Australia than it does to go from Mainland Australia to the US?

I'm at work right now, here's our connection speed here..

My boss is downloading some torrents right now, otherwise it'd be closer to 20mbit down, 1bit up. I think it costs about $50/mo because we have two extra static IP addresses, otherwise it'd be $35/mo for 20mbit down 1mbit up.

Seems my ping isn't too bad for 40 bucks per month.
You do realize high ping is bad, right? A good ping would be under 20ms... As it stands it takes you almost a tenth of a second to contact any site.. I'll bet you can't play multiplayer online games very well.
...Linksys wireless G routers have latency issues...

Is it a WRT-54G? I've had one of those... Great routers, though the stock firmware sucks. Try updating the firmware to the latest version from linksys, if that doesn't fix it you can try a 3rd party firmware like OpenWRT or DD-WRT. These firmwares give a lot of extra functionality that normally is only available in multi-thousand-dollar routers, and they fix most of the issues the stock firmware has.
;D Yes it is. Cool I'll try those. Thanks for the tip PL ;)

I play CoD4 on a server in the UK.  I live in Illinois, USA.  My average ping is 150 when connected to that server.  I don't have any lag issues at all and I normally am in the top 3 for kills.

30/1, AUD$70/month 12gb limit (i don't download much)

I have got speed tests registering up to 34mb/s downloads, must be feeling a bit tired this morning. haha.

wow mine sucks i think i am no way computer savay

5.07 mb /s
.63 mb /s

My dorm has one of the worst network connections... Other dorms get 30 down / 50 up.

My parents pay $25/month for my internet-- It would be more but I called them up and complained that it wasn't near the advertised speed so the bumped me up a level.
