You do realize high ping is bad, right? A good ping would be under 20ms... As it stands it takes you almost a tenth of a second to contact any site.. I'll bet you can't play multiplayer online games very well.Eku said:Seems my ping isn't too bad for 40 bucks per month.
Is it a WRT-54G? I've had one of those... Great routers, though the stock firmware sucks. Try updating the firmware to the latest version from linksys, if that doesn't fix it you can try a 3rd party firmware like OpenWRT or DD-WRT. My boss is downloading some torrents right now, otherwise it'd be closer to 20mbit down, 1bit up. I think it costs about $50/mo because we have two extra static IP addresses, otherwise it'd be $35/mo for 20mbit down 1mbit up.
