What does it mean?!?  (your name that is)

Re: What does it mean?!?  (your name that is)

For years I traveled all over the world for work, I was always in a different time zone. Sometimes I would go east coast to west coast and travel back in time (time zone wise) or forward west to east. Sometimes to Europe and that was really weird. One day my supervisor told me I was a time traveler. Not only that, I also like to cook, and Thyme is one of my favorite herbs I use, so one day since we used AOL IM I needed a screen name and Time Traveler was taken, so I made up TymTravler

And that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Regards

I am a big Star Trek fan, and in honor of ST's creator, Gene Roddenberry, I adopted this name and also because it rhymes a bit with my real name, Robert D.

I use this nick on nearly all forums and newsgroups I participate in.

Finally, I'm a geek, and proud of it. :D

Skor was my nickname in high school. My actuall first name is Heath. Heath bar and the Skor candy bar are basicly the same thing. The rest just all fell into place...what can I say?

Re: What does it mean?!?  (your name that is)

hallucynogenyc, comes from a old history. I used to play a game called Tibia, and for some reason I made my character called hallucinogenic because my character vocation ingame was druid and I just made the joke that my druid was gonna make hallucinogenic potions.

For some reasons I left my main character and plaid more the druid, but the game rules stated that you couldn't have a name with meaning, so as soon as I got some lvls someone from the developing team saw me and banned me until my name was changed, so I just changed the "i"s for "y"s, and kept playing. I ended up pretty addicted to the game and so I was known as hallucynogenyc in the game forums, in the game fansites forums, (I even was a mod there), so this ended up being my nick all over the net :D

Yours,
Albert

Re: What does it mean?!?  (your name that is)

My handle came from a line that I told my friend forever ago. I used to make chain mail like the knights wore back in medieval times when they were fighting with swords and stuff. I got like half a shirt done and just kinda lost the time and will to do it its alot of work just you two pair of pliers and some side cutters. It was hand made so I cut and bent each individual link I counted once and had something like 10,000+ links so far and I was using 14 gauge galvanized steel wire not easy to bend. Any ways I dint know what we were talking about me and my friend but I yelled I KNIT STEEL dammit!! And the name stuck b/c no one had it anywhere online yet so I didn't have to add numbers or anything to my user name.

Re: What does it mean?!?  (your name that is)

My name came from a few years ago when I had gotten into beatboxing. I WAS going to be the human orchestra however that was already taken by the beatboxer Kenny Muhammad. However HumanSymphony works better I suppose since I was known for beatboxing Beethoven's Für Elise as you can hear in my first ever laser video below.

Re: What does it mean?!?  (your name that is)

I was trying and trying to find an untaken internet name about 5 years ago, and I didn't want to use symbols or numbers, I had to be as original as possible!

I have two Pacific Parrotlets, and I like rockets and stuff like that, so rocketparrotlet.

I am the only rocketparrotlet.

That was one of the greatest renditions of that song that I've ever heard.. hilarious, but great.
