Went to have a mole removed by a dermatologist surgeon this morning. So they do the cutting and tell me they got all of the Basil cell cancer. When he's done with another cutting he would be in to finish on me. So the nurse has to measure the removed area. Hears the good part, she does it out load and says "one point eight by two", I ask centimeters? She says "yes". Now I'm thinking " they cut a 20mm hole in my head"? She shows me the pic and yup 20mm hole. looked like a manhole to me. So the Doc comes back and cuts the skin away so when it's stitched up it will lay flat, oh did I mention that this was on my right temple. Nurse takes another pic and now I see that I have a Frankenstein stitch job on the side of my head.

Just thought I would share.

But hey, chicks dig scars right?
Ed :D

I have had a large, somewhat distinctive scar on my face since I was five.

To be fair my head, and face got quite a bit bigger, and the scar has faded over the last 23 years.

Nonetheless it's there.

Do girls dig it? I'm not sure. Probably not.

Does it still make for an interesting story. Yup :D

I suggest you come up with a better one for your scar fellow frankenstein monster :tinfoil:

I'm 56 so I think it will be pronounced for here on out.
I could say I did it with a laser. :eg:
Tomorrow the bandage comes off and I can post pic, if that's allowed, have to read through sticks before I do.

I have a wicked scar on my face from when I fell out of bed as a child. That's not what you will hear if you ask me though. Fight with a tiger, knife wound received while saving children in a burglary. Ya know :)

It's allowed.

Seriously though, there are tons of creams and patches you can use now days to force the scar to fade faster.

If its on the temple, well for me anyways its filled with hair. If the scar bothers you that much get a hair transplant.

Ps, I'll 1 up you.... I was burned in an electrical explosion and had to get skin grafts :p

OMG! Why was the OP's picture not saved?!

Making up a story is about as cool as saying you got AIDs from fighting a monkey in the jungle...WHICH INFACT, was also probably made up, besides the monkey... :D

So I have two scar stories - one is from a major surgery when I was 13. I have a 7 inch scar down my stomach. I don't really have a belly-button anymore. But I say it's from a tiger.

The other one is a smallish scar on my forearm that I got from falling off Masada in Israel ^_^

You know I have many scars and some pretty serious ones but while I was reading this I found my legs tinglinglingling and fuzzy feeling,
OMG a 20cm hole in your head that makes me cringe, hope it looks better than it sounds but they all look better later don't they ;)

I think we should have a scar count off I'll start with my count of 29 :D
I can only show pictures of 26 of them on here though

I've had about 5 moles removed, just as a precaution. I was asleep to the smell of chocolate so it didn't really bother me too much :p

Geez, I feel like I'm kind of behind some of you guys. Not sure whether that's good or bad.

I only have 7 visible scars, and only 4-5 of them are worth noting. Three are on my left pointer finger :p

Soldering iron? I alwayd feel the need to brass the tip of my iron with my finger......

Soldering iron? I always feel the need to brass the tip of my iron with my finger......

Two knife, and one of something else, I never found out what it was. My guess is a key, small serrated knife, or bottle opener.

I do have a small burn scar on my other pointer finger, but not from soldering. Considering I wasn't really ever a pothead, the location is really annoying.

Kind of surprised I don't have more burn scars on my hands actually. I had a firecracker go off in my right hand when I was 8... no scar at all left from it.

What's the policy on overlapping scars btw? I have some very nasty cat claw scratches that later got partially overlaid with a bbq accident.

Word of advice - if there is a grill with hot charcoal in it falling, just get the hell out the way. Also if there is a cat stuck in a crevice, wait for it to calm down, wear down / get tired, before getting it out.

I also forgot to mention the unusual scar on my wrist. I was on the way to NSW (10 hour car trip) and when we had a stop at a park I went down a plastic slide on a playground (I WAS BORED). Somehow my wrist rubbed against the plastic on the slide and I got a friction burn. It's been just over a month and I've still got a scar on my wrist from a slide :na:
