Guys this it the old member "Techjunkie" he's been here for far longer than us.

Oh, I figured out who he is. And, I don't give a damn how long he's been here or why he was banned before.

My only point is he's earning more neg-reps by continuing to be a douchebag. I get standing up for what's right. But, it doesn't mean you have to be a prick about it.

You guys need a reality check.

Being banned, rep points, and post count mean nothing in real life. Its so low on lifes priorities its not even worth debating.

The reason I still lurk here is because I have friends here, and I'm still into the laser hobby. They may keep banning me but you still read the words I write. I could care less if they stay posted or not. Its only opinions.

Some of you guys really need a life.

I had over 380 reps when I was banned over a year ago, and they didnt mean a thing. Points dont measure the man you are. They mean nothing in real life.

yeah i know right, for some reason lasersbee pos-repped him, dunno why

It was an accident.

Another hypocrite I see.

BTW I had more rep points than you when I was banned over a year ago. So your statement is BS. If its good for one, its good for all.

So you call someone a hypocrite, then you use your rep points to back yourself up. Now you go ahead and say that rep points mean nothing. I think you're the biggest hypocrite of us all.

However I do agree that post count and rep mean nothing in the scheme of things.

You missed the point entirely. I didnt use my rep to back me up, I said that to show my reps meant nothing because I still got banned.

Jerry I think you are the only one who got what I said. These n00bs really have no clue. I call out a mod to defend SBA and everyone thinks I'm the jerk?

SBA they f*cked you. Wake up.

I'm out.

He is totally within his rights to be calling certain people a hypocrite?
If SBA gets a vet ban because he hasn't met the "rules" why does another member that doesn't meet the rules either still get to be one?

And he was just replying to Ped's statement that "the more rep points you have means the more quality you bring to the forum" by saying that he had more than most people but he was still banned..

That's actually a pretty sore loser kind of attitude and a bitter thing to say. Most of the old time vets like myself didn't have the year rule so more power to you for getting in. If I recall there was a lot of support for you when you made your opening thread in the vet section. You realize all the open forum can see when you post in the vet section.

Your third sentence, and the first one in the second paragraph are clearly a contradiction.

I was told by a similar member that once I hit 1K posts, that I should contact Avery about having veteran status. I did and he allowed it. Apparently, there were enough veterans who were resentful about this that there was enough pressure on Avery to revoke the status of members like myself, who shouldn't have technically gotten in, due to the rules.

I'm not blaming anyone. It feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth, but the support here has helped.

One of the more annoying aspects of no longer being a vet is missing out on some of the amazing new tech that becomes available to vets before the rest of us. I've got customers who demand the latest and greatest. Now, I have to wait until everything goes public, like everyone else. I know this isn't a big deal. But hey, nobody wants to hear, "Hey kid, have some ice cream. Psych!".

My bad, I got mixed up because when he quoted ped it didn't show the username. Either way, I still believe he doesn't really have a place in this forum anymore. But that's just what I think.

Just out of interest TJ, is it hard to keep up the laser hobby without being able to post in this forum very often? If it were me I think I would have lost a bit of interest, although I guess you can still view the forum and post till you get banned.

TJ, perhaps if you'd articulated your position clearly, to begin with, you wouldn't have had questions about your intent.

But, then you went out of your way to call me 'numb nutz'. You're being a troll and a douchebag. I'll agree that rep points and banning mean nothing. But you're as desperately in need of a life as anyone on this forum.

Whether I got screwed is academic. It's all a matter of opinion, and mine is not that important. Neither is yours. I don't like what happened at all, but I've got no say in it.
The only thing that matters to the forum is how I conduct myself, from here.

Acting like a petulant child, much as yourself, is not going to serve me in any way. So, I choose not to have a tantrum about it. Doing so wouldn't help anyone.

Chip, it seems as if you and the rest of the world define "contradiction" differently.

By making a supposition as to why I my status was revoked, and then stating that I am not blaming anyone, no contradiction is being made.

Now, had I said as a matter of fact that my status was removed because of certain veterans, then claimed I wasn't blaming anyone, that would be a contradiction.

A vague supposition, followed by a statement of fact regarding my laying of blame is in no way a contradiction.

I understood clearly that he was calling out Ped and it
had nothing to do with you...

If I held out my hand to help a guy in a ditch and that guy
started ranting about my panties being in a twist I'd call
him "Numb Nuts" too....:crackup::crackup:

Jerry, if he had been more articulate in the first place, he'd have gotten his point across.

His ham-fisted attempt to help me out of a ditch is more like someone ranting at god for me being in a ditch, and then yelling at me for being in the ditch.
